First a note: there are, or where, two King Fung Gardens. The first was in Boston's Chinatown, and the second is in Brookline. I've eaten at both, but this review is about the Brookline locatio, which we no longer refer to as the second.
We've been getting food at KFG for a long time, I no longer remember when we started. When Doris is there, you can be assured of a great meal. Other times it has occasionally been hit or miss. This is primarily a take-out place, although there are tables and people occasionally eat here.
Best bets: anything made with flour: scallion pancakes, peking ravioli, pork buns, noodles (both wheat and rice), moo shi (pancakes). Egg rolls and spring rolls are okay, but not great. Spicy dishes tend to not to be very hot, which is fine with me, but asking for very hot might alleviate that. Egg Foo Young is good, Noodles with Peking meat sauce is great, Ma-Pa Tofu (soft) and Family Style Tofu (fried) are nice.
