Baba ganoosh is the best I ever had. We returned two days in a row for it...
Moos aka is very good , the bread =bun is baked there and very tasty.
Salads are fresh and rice is very tasty.
Prices are fair and it seems that the place is always busy.

I went to brookline family restaurant on a saturday morning to satisfy my turkish breakfast cravings. There were a lot of locals in the restaurant which I took as a good sign. However the food is nowhere close to being good, and the service is oddly bad. Among a lot of food me and my mates tried, only the boiled pie (su boregi) was close to the original. Here are my reviews for other items
1) How the hell a turkish restaurant cannot have white cheese and serve cheap tasteless feta instead? It is not Greek, it is Turkish!
2) No simit but bagel?? I am heartbroken.
3) Tea is not free of charge. Another Turkish tradition is ignored completely.
4) Desserts were terribly bad. Mixing water with milk to cut down expenses really ruins the taste. Kazandibi can never be half transparent and elastic. It should be creamy like a pudding. Please don't be that cheap.
5) Lahmacun is not even similar to the original. If you don't know what it should taste like, you can eat it. If you ever eat a real Lahmacun, you can't even swallow this. Something is terribly wrong in the ingridients.
6) Service was too bad. There were three people working but only one of them was really working. We waited at least 10 minutes until someone could see we were asking for a check.
I give the two stars for the idea ofopening a turkish restaurant in US. I wish food was good as well.

Simple, diner style restaurant serving quality Mediterranean food. The atmosphere is nothing special, but the food is great. Halal meat, fantastic baklava, turkish wine (ok it is an acquired taste), all at a very reasonable price. The service was great to top it off. Perfect for a great low key dinner or take out.

Went there with my family - the calamari was good as well as the kebab sandwiches. The atmosphere is nothing too fancy - the place is good for quick bite on the go not to mention the usual assortment of Mediterranean desserts!

Our family has loved this place in the past. The hot dishes simmering in view of the chef's counter are savory and colorful. Lately we have noticed the attractive dishes are not as tasty as years before. Past favorites were adana and shish kebabs. But now the flavors just don't stand out. Musakka has no character, almost mush. Even the bread has been boring. (they have very good James Farm butter packets that save the day) This can't be due to the cost of ingredients because they get a good price for these meals! The deserts may look exotic but they are usually not good- gluey with weird off-putting flavors. Service is almost always efficient though the waitresses are usually standoffish and don't look very happy. Hope this place tries for a recovery because the menu is unique and has shown its potential before.
