Get a Lone Star beer and order the ribs and the brisket. Noisy and always busy. Been eating there for years and will always return. If you cant be seated right away, have a beer at the bar and watch the game on TV. Worth the wait!

We dined here a while back as a family and enjoyed the experience. Had the barbecued ribs and the beef short ribs, which were amazing.

The food is definitely smoked, but the food is very fatty and covered in sauces. Don't plan to lose weight here. Rather loud as well.

Just had dinner last night with my family. My husband had filet mignon, was cooked perfectly rare. Nice quality meat. But the rest was rather poor in comparison. Pulled pork was especially dissapointing. The heaping portin was juicy but not fresh. my son had grilled shrimp fajitas and loved it. Though the vegetables in it were pretty over cooked. Probably they were pre-cooked earlier. But came with nice condiments (salsa, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, cheese). We couldn't help but to keep comparing village smokehouse to tennessee barbecue in Framingham. But it's nice to have a barbecue joint as a dining option right in Brookline.
