“Japanese Sushi Gem In Brookline”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2011

Delicious, Fresh and Friendly. Wonderfully fresh sushi with attentive service. Very cosy with close seating but with large menu selection and prices that are very pleasing. Bento Box is among my favorites - more than a meal. Also recommend seaweed salad. Good parking at and near their location - 1393 Beacon should the journey require a car.
It's in my neighborhood and I drop in often. Great for a winter warm up with thier Udon noodles. Also, nice to be remembered by name each time i stop by.

“Small but delicious and great service!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2010

Just went there with my mom this evening! There weren't any seats at tables when we first got there, so we had to sit at the sushi bar, which wasn't our preference, but it ended being really nice. The place was very small and packed because it was a Friday, but the food was amazing and fresh. The men preparing the sushi were friendly and would explain what things were as we stared in confusion at what they were preparing. Fairly priced, large rolls, and very fresh tasting! Definitely worth checking out!

“Great food, great value, and great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2010

We have become regulars at this tiny, friendly Japanese restaurant which has both good sushi and sashimi and a nice selection of other delicious dishes for those who aren't raw fish fanciers. The owner remembers our preferences from one visit to the next, and suggests delicious new things for us to try. The service is superb, your teacup is always replenished, empty dishes are whisked away and new dishes brought seamlessly. Portions are big. The bento box is an unbelievable deal. The decor is minimal, this is not somewhere to linger for hours, but the food is as good as at any Japanese restaurant in the area, the service is better, and the prices are much lower.

“Best Japanese Restaurant in Brookeline, MASS”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2009

If you are in or around the Greater Boston area, I would recommend that you go and check out Brookline. MASS. Its a great area to walk around, shop and dine. I was there recently and had Japanese food at a FANTASTIC restaurant called GINGA. The food was delicious, the service was really good and most of all the price was affordable. The address is 1393 Beacon Street

“Favorite Japanese Joint in Brookline”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2008

REALLY delicious, quick, and friendly. I am always greeted there by my first name (I frequent the restaurant at least once a week), and know that they offer free appetizers and hot tea to all eat-in customers. Not expensive but the food is of incredibly high quality. You should definitely try the Unaju/Unagi Don (eel over rice)--it's heavenly. The sushi specials are great, and their udons are perfect in the winter. Their weekday lunch specials are such an amazing deal--20% off everything on their already decent priced menu.
