This place is often packed, particularly on sunny days. A pair of us were seated on the patio, saw a couple we knew, and joined them. The servers were happy to accomodate our table shifting, and anticipated our split party checks.

The beers came quickly, the servers were very informative, and patient while we suffered severe sticker shock at the menu prices. $28+ for snow crab? Snow crab is the chum salmon of crab legs! Our friends ordered one of those crab buckets ($33 per person!), but we settled on a couple of appetizers.

Gotta say the food was good for a chain restaurant, if incredibly overpriced. The service was truly remarkable -- a testiment to good management and great training.

When it's a beautiful day and I want to relax with a great view of the river, and I'm flush with cash, I'd return.

Went there for our 10 year anniversary. Still upset with ourselves that we simply didn't get up and leave. $118.00 w/tip (waitress was great) and the food was horrific.

Our party of 8 had dinner at Joe's last night. The service was good, but nothing over the top. I disagree with the 18% gratuity that a number of restaurants charge, including Joe's Crab Shack. People should tip on the service that they receive, not because the restaurant is greedy. And that's what it boils down to, GREED. We will not be going to Joe's Crab Shack anytime in the future. To tell the truth, the Shrimp was average tasting, the waiter never came once to refill our water glass. Not worth the 18% tip, that is forced on you.

Our family dined at Joe's last night for a surprise birthday party. The service was very good. I ordered the "crab cake" dinner. What was served was a flat crab nugget mash. Watch for the extraordinary gratuity Joe adds (group dining). It was almost more than the meal!

We stopped in for an early dinner after spending a few days on the Columbia River. The seafood pots of crab, crawfish, shrimp, potatoes and corn were very good. The flavor was good, the seafood was cooked just right and they bring you melted butter to go over all of it. What more could you ask for?
