My mom and I both had the clubhouse sandwich with crinkle fries. The fries were so good!! The sandwich was also good with crispy bacon cooked to perfect. The place was packed and the service was excellent!

This was our third visit here, the food is good but like a lot of these kind of restaurants serve way too much food. The servers are mostly all young and popping around, this day seemed a little hectic. The have small table site jukeboxes but no sure you’d hear it very well on this day. All and all, a good choice. All the food is great, day or night. It is popular, so if there is a short wait don't be surprised. If you have a wait it is worth it, Real milk shakes! Burgers, breakfast or anytime it is great. Friendly efficient staff, so tip extra for their effort because the food is so affordable.

Place was cheerful and well-lit. There were tabletop "jukeboxes" just like in the old days and they were playing a lot of 60s and 70s music, but not too loud. The acoustics are a little echo-ey so I could hear everything the next-table diners were saying but that just made it seem homier and friendlier.

The wait staff was all young people in logo tee-shirts (maybe I'll get one the next time I come) and they were very attentive. The prices were reasonable and the food was in good portions, from what I saw.

There was a reasonable menu, with lots of well-remembered go-to items like meatloaf and French dip, BLTs and club sandwiches, fish'n'chips, several burgers and even a veggie burger. There were shakes, seemingly made the old fasioned way, and a soda fountain, with a few bottled sodas but no beer or wine visible. There were several pies and other desserts on the menu, all touted as homemade. There were two pages of breakfast items on the menu, too.

Although I would have liked to try the fish and chips - made with halibut - I chose the signature Stardust burger, with double fried french fries and a side salad, all for about $10 with tax. Everything was good, so good I ate it all, and the 6-oz. burger seemed fresh on a huge sesame-seed bun. The fries were notably crisp and delightful.

There is literally nothing bad to say about this experience. I would have given more stars if there were some more esoteric items on the menu - but then it wouldn't be a diner - and they were always traditionally meant to please diners, not wow them.

Did I mention that there was an aluminum diner car fascade and diner-style tables and seats to complete the flashback?

We started going here a couple years ago for our dates. The service is good. We love the theme of the restaurant. However, the food is very processed and not that great. We probably are not going to return. It's not horrible but it's not great. This type of establishment needs to keep it real downhome.
