This is a nice park if a bit windy. You have to pay two dollars so just parking for a walk isn't what I do but if I am wanting a picnic close by this will work. I think for a lot of people sailing and Kyaking look like the thing to do on this lake.

What a great place to learn to wind surf. Shallow lake offers oppurtunites for many recreation activities and bird watching.

I thought this place was a welcomed stop for a place to spend the after noon or a day. The grounds were clean and well kept, there were table and benches and lots of green grass to sit on and admire the lake.

Vancouver Lake park is a nice park and a good attempt at saving a dieing lake. I happen to live on lake front propety and I have a wonderful vew. If you come to Vancouver Lake I recomend you come in the fall becuase the lake is often covered with a alge bloom in summer and is flooding in fall. It is a great place to watch a sun rise and the other side is a great place to watch a sun set. I recomend that you dont go swimming in it becuase youll smell for weeks, and because there are sumerged objects to get caught on.
