My partner and I got a room at this hotel for two days during the record breaking heatwave the Portland area saw at the end of July '09. We'd driven past it and saw that they had a big sign up advertising a low price and that there were big air conditioners under the windows of all the rooms, then we went online and saw they got reasonably good reviews, so we booked the room.
We were very happy. From the outside, the hotel looks to be along the same lines as a Motel 6. But our room was probably twice the size of the last Motel 6 room I'd stayed in. The air conditioning got the temperature down from around 105 to somewhere in the 60's, which was very pleasant. Our bed was clean. Our room had a television, a microwave and a little mini fridge. We both had laptops with us and the hotel's WiFi signal was nice and strong in our room, and was reasonably speedy even during the typical evening 'peak usage' hours. There was a dining table in our room with two chairs, about the perfect size for two people to eat at or to use a computer from. And this hotel was somewhat cheaper than the Motel 6 next door, which I'm told doesn't have anywhere near as many amenities.
Would definitely recommend.More
