Lovely accommodations as well as a terrific staff. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to spend some time either in Vancouver, Portland or even traveling nearby attractions like the Cascade mountains or Seattle for that matter. Had a wonderful time.

So pleased with this hotel. You have to meet Mimi...best personality for a front desk I have ever felt with. We are here for six weeks and she by far makes you feel at home. The amenities are great. Food is great. Room service is amazing. I will from here on out always use Staybridge. Great experience for a hotel. Thank you

We usually stay at the Heathman Lodge when visiting Vancounver, and while it is a topnotch property, it can be a bit pricey, especially if you try to book a suite. This trip we opted for the Staybridge which is just a block or so away from the Heathman. And while it may not be as opulent as the Heathman, it proved to be quite the find.

My pet peeve when reserving a suite is discovering that it is just an oversized room with no separation from the sleeping area and sitting area. The Staybridge Suites restored my faith in the definition of suites by providing a sleeping area separated from the sleeping area by an actual door. It was more of a small apartment than a hotel room. It came complete with a full sized refrigerator, cook top, dishwasher and microwave.

Having a separate sleeping area was a welcome luxury because we were traveling with our young children and it was nice to be able to put them to sleep and then retire to the next room to relax and watch television without having to keep the volume down to one notch above inaudible for fear of waking the kids.

The cozy sitting room included a sleeper sofa and an easy chair as well as a kitchen bar with barstools separating the kitchen area from the sitting area. The kitchen was also fully stocked with cooking utensils, plates, glasses and silverware as well as a toaster and full sized coffee pot. They even through in a bag of microwave popcorn for your first night.

The hotel has an outdoor pool and sports court as well as an area equipped with gas grills for guest use. And they offer a decent breakfast in the morning they seemed a bit better than standard free breakfast fare offered by many hotel chains. There was fresh fruit, cereals, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, waffle maker, bagels, English muffins, oatmeal and yogurt. It was great for families.

The hotel did have a small fitness room that I didn't use, but scoped out. It seemed adequate for working out while travelling.

Checking in and out was a breeze and the staff were very friendly.

The only negative thing I could say about the Staybridge was that it could use a bit of soundproofing. Hallway noise was very audible in the rooms as were conversations from adjacent rooms.

But all in all, I think the Staybridge Suites was an outstanding value, and would be especially great if you had an extended stay in Vancouver and wanted more than a run of the mill hotel room.

Room Tip: I opted for a standard suite rate where you don't get a guarantee of the types of beds (i.e. sin...

We went for a couple nights, me and my sisters, and my mom. We were celebrating my youngest sister turning 50. We had a problem with another place we were going to stay at in Vancouver, and so this was pretty much last minute choice. The staff was extra friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful two room suite and the view into the courtyard was very pleasant. The breakfast was very nice, with many choices and it was very good food. The rate was great. Thank you. We will definitely return sometime.

We've stayed at many SB's around the country, and this is one of the nicer and newer renovated ones. As always, the staff was great, the facilities were great (incl. outdoor pool, BBQ grills, etc), the breakfast was nice.... The only issues I could come up with is the amount of people at breakfast one of the mornings we stayed, which was no fault of the hotel's! (Just means that they're a great hotel). They did a good job keeping the food stocked. Another would be in the particular room we stayed in, which was a handicapped access room; the bathroom door (sliding) didn't completely close. But we made due. And, as with many hotels around, the water was too soft for my liking. Also, the internet connection was pretty slow. But even with these few notes, we would definitely still recommend staying here!

Went there with my wife and daughter for 5 days. I have never stayed at a Staybridge Suites and was unsure as to what to expect. We arrive two hours earlier than the check-in time. I was met by Mimi at the front check-in. She couldn't have been any nicer and by far one of the friendliest in the business. The main lobby was very clean and modern and a place you could relax if needed. Mimi explained that on Tues-Thurs they have a free food buffett and free beer and wine for two hours in the main area. We unfortunately never made it there as we were out. The rooms were clean, spacious, quiet and mostly updated. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean. There was an outside and inside pool, a laundry room, workout room, basketball court, and outdoor grills and patio furniture. We never used any of these things due to being out all day and the weather being too cool and rainy but by looking at them they were clean and kids and parents would certainly enjoy them. The free breakfast was so so. The selection was OK (a few hot items...bacon/sausage, scrambled eggs (horrible), waffle maker, hot oatmeal (so, so). dried cereal, and fruits. The area seemed good with surrounding residential houses. About a 5 min. car drive was a large Safeway grocery store, a gas station, coffee house and a few other stores. It took a few mins.to get on I 205. Overall, I would stay here again without hesitation and would stay at another Staybridge if conveniently located.

Room Tip: We stayed in the two room suite. Highly recommended if privacy is desired. Both rooms have their own...

My husband and I were in town over Memorial day weekend. We had a king suite and were very pleasantly surprised to see how clean and modern looking the room was. The kitchen was so well supplied! I was surprised not to see just a mini fridge and a microwave, but a full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, sink with a garbage disposal, a two burner cooktop and fully stocked cabinets with silverware, plates, bowls, cups, and glasses. Not to mention cookware and mixing bowls!!
Mimi checked us in, she was so funny and sweet! Such a pleasant woman to speak with and very accommodating when we decided to stay another night! Next time we are in the area, we will be staying here again!!
