i must admit food is better than what is around in the area, but service is horrible. the front desk female manager sets the tone of rude and meaningless conversation. i would not like to pay their price and be ridiculed by the service staff. i will not be returnimg here again.

First visit to Makoto was over the top. Not only do they have a complete sushi bar, there is also a buffet line with the more traditional Asian dishes with plenty of seafood, chicken, pork, rice, noodles and vegetables. All offered at a reasonable price. Very busy restaurant, though we did not have to wait for a table. Convenient access and ample parking.

As far as buffets go, Makoto is the best value I know of. They cost higher than other Asian buffets around the area, but the extra $5 per person is well worth it. There are over 25 kinds of sushi out at any given time, as well as various sashimi and snow crab legs at dinner. They also have a Mongolian Grill that features lamb, shrimp, beef strips, and more!

It's true that the sushi isn't as good as some made-to-order restaurants, but that's to be expected for a buffet. There is a sign up that claims you can request a special order from your server to give to the chef, but I don't know if there's an additional fee or not because the selection was good enough for me. There are many seafood dishes and orange chicken, fried rice, etc.

The only thing that I would like them to change is to have a self-serve beverage counter. You have to wait for your server to come around for any kind of refill, and at night the place has become completely filled more than once when I was there. But the food is worth that small inconvenience.

Makoto also gives a free meal on your birthday (With at least one paying customer of course). Few places will give an entire meal completely free anymore and my wife and i come here on both of our birthdays each year. I would recommend Makoto to anybody who likes seafood, and I will definitely be coming again.

nothing stellar, but nice atmosphere, clean, good food, good price.

My husband and I went here with a bunch of friends a few months ago. I fell in love with this restaurant. The service was great, the Sushi is fantastic. Made fresh, and re-made fresh again when the serving dish is low. They have a stir-fry bar, hot food such as fried rice, bbq ribs, pot stickers, ect. Cold crab, raw sushi, raw salads as well. To top it off they have desserts, such as chocolate and white cake, a delicious fruity orange cake mouse and a coffee flavored one, ice-cream, and jello.
