“Nice neighborhood restaurant”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

The food is very good but it is a small place with not much seating. If busy it can be noisy. They have outside seating during the good weather which is nice. The wine list is good, but my son does not think much of their beers on tap. Tends to be a little pricey but the quality of food is great.

“Not worth the time.”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Went there a year ago and haven't been back since. Food was so so and fairly overpriced for what we ordered.
Room was noisy and seating was crammed.

“Nice neighbrohood dining”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

We had reservations on New Year's Eve before heading to a neighborhood party.Didn't want to be on the highways. Chose Farra's and have had good food there before. The food and wine were fine, the service was fine. But the lack of NYE enthusiasm was lacking. No way did I feel this was a special evening out. Since they have remodeled and added space , the acoustics seem worse, and the place felt unwelcoming. It is nice to have an upscale rest. in our small community , but I didn't feel any sense of community that evening.

“Great Find in Vancouver”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

Dining choices in this area of Vancouver are quite limited and, with few exceptions, can generally be categorized into either strip-mall fast-food or easy-to-reach from the highway tourist choices, etc. It was with a sigh of relief that I found reviews of Farrar's Bistro and realized that having a great meal out wouldn't always mean driving quite a ways from our immediate area. We've had two delicious meals there (one lunch and one dinner) and are looking forward to going back. Their house specialties for dinner were well prepared and nicely presented. The service was professional and except for a forgotten dessert order which seemed to be the casualty of a shift-change, faultless. A spur-of-the-moment lunch with one of their daily specials (a divine lamb burger) and another of their regular lunch menu items was also very good, though I must admit that we were gluttonously coveting our neighbors' grilled salmon salads while eating our own excellently prepared food. We've heard there is outdoor dining in summer and we're looking forward to trying that, as well as any breakfast/brunch offerings the owner decides to bring back to this great little place. A very nice option for those who live in the area!

“"Totally Surprised"”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

I had been reading about Farrar's for a couple of years. We went to celebrate a May birthday and the food and service were great. There were 5 of us and our menu choices were varied and from sea scallops to filet mignon, everything was delicious. They were serving a party of 20 as we were seated so at times, the service was a little slow but understandable. This will become a family establishment for everyday as well as special occasions. Love sitting outside!
