Stayed 3 nights over spring break and found the place very busy and full of kids, some running up and down the 3rd floor hallways well after 11pm. Breakfast was ok, but the staff couldn't come close to keeping up with the demand----most items were out often and not replenished in quite some time. This place is ok but it does need some updating.
I have stayed here several times now, but I think I will look elsewhere for my next trip.

We stayed here one night. We found the room clean and spacious and the bed comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was a cut above the usual, with three hot items. The breakfast room attendant was helpful, friendly and courteous, as were the staff members at the front desk. There is a cafeteria across the street with a good range of items where we enjoyed dinner, and also a seafood buffet (not visited) nearby. Because we booked through one of the better priced booking agencies, we paid a very low rate for the quality and size of our accommodation.

Room Tip: The location is very quiet, so room location was not an issue.

Hotel was a little dated, rooms only had 19 inch TV. Pool area was ok but no hot water in the pool shower. They were also always out of pool towels. Breakfast was good, the selection was actually above average each day. Hot food could have been kept hotter. Front desk was very friendly & easy to work with. Not a bad hotel for the price.

This was wonderful. 2nd floor room with easy access from the parking lot. King size bed that was so comfy with a down comforter on top. Pool open 24/7! Breakfast area provided a nice meal of eggs, waffles, french toast, cereals, juices, etc. Our room was very quiet - we heard no airport noise at all. Our room was spacious with a wave, fridge, bar and sink, great shower/tub. We really enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Just tell them what you need.

Dear Cellofool,

Thank you for taking the time to come onto Tripadvisor and write a review about our hotel! We love being so close to the airport (especially with our complimentary shuttle), and yet just out of earshot. We are very glad that you had such an enjoyable stay, and we look forward to hosting you again on your next trip through!

Filthy carpets in sleeping rooms and breakfast room need replacing. Plumbing needs maintenance and/or replacement. Both sinks in our two rooms backed up and drained very slowly. Front-desk excuse was "no maintenance staff on weekends" Problem reported Thursday evening! Poor breakfast quality similar to many low-end motels. Dry, rubbery eggs (no, you can't cook your own!). Meat choice limited to cheap pork sausage patties... but none at all on weekends. No fruit other than a few old, bruised apples. Polite complaints to staff shrugged off without any action. My advice? Pay a bit more and stay elsewhere.

Room Tip: Pay a bit more and stay elsewhere.

Dear Valued Guest,

We take great pride in our hotel, and I personally apologize for your bad experience. Please understand that this is not the standard for our hotel. The front desk response your received was uncalled for, and I will deal with it personally. Worst case, I should have been called, then I would have come and personally taken care of your room issues. Please let me know the next time you are coming through Vancouver. I would love the opportunity to redeem ourselves to you, and take care of your stay.

Sincerely,

Matt Smith

Well located just across the bridge from the Portland Airport, the Phoenix Inn offers large rooms, friendly service and a decent breakfast at a third the price of a Portland hotel.
The rooms are divided into an entry/closet/wash area, bed area & seating area. The WiFi works fine. Breakfast includes make your own egg sandwiches, fresh waffles & the regular. Nice folks are the desk. Nothing to complain about.
