Clarify same family different brothers own it. Over rated for the price but elegant if you're trying to have a small holiday business lunch.

Hated the lemon chicken. Same owners as the Beeches and their food isn't good at all. Might have gotten food poisoning here.

This is a 4- or 5-star restaurant in a small town in our estimation.

We hadn't been to the Savoy in many years when we dropped in at a time when there were only 2 or 3 customer at the the bar. We can't make any comment about the other reviewer's complaints about how reservations are handled. We can't say anything about the various entertainments.

We can say the food we got was excellent. We can say we love the nicely appointed restaurant that has pictures of some of the many VIP's visiting the place over many years including an old picture of JFK and party.

My "antipasto for 2" was barely enough for one but exquisitely done with not a single leaf of iceberg lettuce. My wife's fried haddock was enough to share and reasonably good.

We are not crazy about the prices, prefer the "cheapo" Franklin Hotel for Italian food a few blocks away but recommend the Savoy to tonier types.

Best, Terry

We went here since it seemed everyone was recommending this place. It is your typical italian restaurant with lots of pictures of people, and various other items on the walls. we arrived at 545 on a saturday without reservations, this seemed to have aggravated the hostess, who had pulled a fit with the people ahead of us who also did not have reservations, even though there were lots of empty tables. our server did not bother telling us the specials of the night or that they were not making pizza, after we ordered the pizza. The food was okay. after we left, the bar area was full of people waiting to be seated. It seems that this is the only game in town and everyone comes here.
