go see the trains outside...and go inside, to see the work in progress...very slowly. these projects are measured in years, not weeks. the people are fun to talk with too.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2011

Definitely the highlight of our trip to Fort Smith. Really interesting to see the refurbished trolleys and we got to ride on and drive one of the trolleys. Would definitely recommend a visit!

“NIce short ride, cheap, and something to do`”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2011

The trolley is an original city trolley that has been restored by volunteers at the museum. Buy your tickets and catch the trolley at the Ft. Smith Mueum of History, the rails run up to Garrison Avenue and back past the actual Trolley Museum and to the National Cemetary. The conductor gives a brief, but informative talk at the stops that highlight the local history and trolley history. Its an open window trolly, so there's no air conditioning, but the breeze feels good as its going along the rails. Takes about 20 minutes to ride it, its worth doing.

“Fun ride back in time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2011

Had a very fun time riding the historic trolley through the downtown area. Learned a lot about how the trolleys operated back in the day. Great fun for the family. Highly recommend!

“Not what I thought it would be!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2009

We went to the museum, but there wasn't much to look at. No one greeted us the door. I don't know if it was closed (according to the hours it should have been open), or what, but I wouldn't recommend it. The only good thing was we didn't have to pay for it.
