We really enjoyed the tour. The architecture is very nice and the interior is sumptuous. Our guide was very knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. She provided a glimpse into what life might have been like there 100 years ago. By the way, Fort Smith has several attractions clustered fairly close together. We also went to the Fort Smith National Historic Site (good) and the Fort Smith museum (ok) while we were there. We really wanted to see the historic homes of the area---we saw some nice ones from the car, but it was too hot to walk and shoot photos, so that will have to wait for another time. In conclusion, the tour wasn't extremely long and it might not warrant driving a great distance for that alone, but there are other attractions to be seen. If you're in Fort Smith, this site is a must see.
