When we arrived we noticed the hotel was being renovated.. We were told the water was shut off until 6pm.. we were ok with that, we checked in and went to the McDs to get a bite to eat.. Came back, we had water at 630p, but no hot water until 7p.. The kids wanted to go to the pool, we looked out the window and the pool had NO water in it.. The WiFi did NOT work.. the cable went out for 30 minutes.. but we were tired from our travels and decided to call it a night at 8pm.. we woke up @1030p to FIRE alarms going off.. we rushed outside.. the side of the hotel was on FIRE!!! Now I know things happen, but this could've been prevented.. they had ripped our carpet sitting right next to the hotel, someone (from what I heard was smoking) and that's how the fire was started..
This was the worst hotel experience Ive ever had!!! But to the owners credit, they paid for a NEW room in the hotel across the street for us and several other ppl..
When a hotel is being renovated, they should offer rooms at discounted rates!!! Also if the pool is not open, it shouldn't be advertised online as having a pool.. Families look at amenities like that when deciding where to book...
