I stayed here for 3 nights. The room was comfortable and the hotel was extremely close to almost everything so there was no need for a car. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing. The breakfast was just OK. Sounds silly, but after a long day of touring it would be nice to get a coke, beer, or quick snack. The hotel had a relationship with the Pink House, but has no on site vending machines or bar. Ice was delivered to your room, but no public ice machine either. There a free wine and cheese party in the lobby. The staff seemed very nice.

First the positives: location is perfect...walking distance to anything you want to see in the historic district if you are able to walk. Service was impeccable...Sam the bellman was friendly and helpful...too bad he wasn't there all week. They offer a wine and cheese reception in the evenings which is nice. Free continental breakfast. We took a ghost tour in the evening and learned that the inn once served as a hospital where John Wesley ministered to the sick, and was later a brothel. Criticisms: we must have gotten the smallest room in the inn...barely enough room for a queen bed and TV console. No desk to do business at...laptop had to be, well, on my lap. Bathroom extremely small and cramped. Having short arms, had to get entirely IN the shower to turn on the water, then suffer the initial blast of cold water. Room view was of the parking garage. Valet parking is $15 a day, or you can park it yourself in the garage and schleop your bags. Do yourself a favor and skip the breakfast. The small room on the mezzanine level was very crowded with limited seating. Hot items were barely lukewarm, except for a steaming cauldron of something that was too hot to open the lid. Coffee was good. The rest was just bread, cereal and fruit. Go outside and walk to Henry's at the back of the building for a good, hot, cheap breakfast. These are minor, picky items, admittedly. The service and location made up for it, if you want to avoid the chain hotels and stay in an affordable, historic property.

Very enjoyable. Great location, great room. Love the champain and cheese and fresh cookies. Corner room was spacious and lovely, view was not so lovely and there was outside noise, but not too bothersome

Room Tip: Some outside noise, but overall slept very well

The staff at Planter's Inn is very professional and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and service was excellent. Convenient location for enjoyment of Savannah's Historic District. We would definitely stay at this Inn again and recommend it to other visitors.

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved that we didn't need our car. We enjoyed being within walking distance of dozens of restaurants, shops, the waterfront, and all the beautiful squares of the historic district. The room was tastefully decorated, the staff was attentive, and we loved the daily hospitality time.
