I read the TA reviews and thought this hotel would be a safe bet. Obviously, the reviewers did not stay on the Congress St. side! We had a lovely view of a parking garage, a street light outside our window, loud cars with huge mufflers dragging down the street until 4 a.m. The drapes did not close, my ear plugs did not help, and the thick hard pillows destroyed our necks. Breakfast is high on carbs and over boiled eggs, but people liked it. Everyone was friendly and nice........

Room Tip: Do not stay in room 206 unless you are a fan of a huge night light you can't turn off! Bring your own pillows and serious ear plugs!

first of all this Inn put's you in the middle of everything, we decided not to rent a car, and never a regret. wonderful place, great service, loved our park view room, very clean and comfortable, paper at our door and morning breakfast always a great way to start our day, we celebrated our wedding anniversary and arrived to a bottle of wine in our room and very nice card, nice touch guys, always felt welcome.
we will be back, thank you all ... :o)

We recently had a reunion of old Army buddies and used the Planters Inn as our headquarters.
We were treated well and the hotel was comfortable. The late afternoon wine and cheese offering in the lobby was an easy place to gather before dinner. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful.

The location is extremely good--facing Reynold's Square, replete with the statue of John Wesley,
so of course we all ate and drank temperately.

I would return to the Palnters Inn

Room Tip: Don't reserve based on hotel choice of room. Spend a few bucks more and specify what kind of room you want. I think all the rooms are fairly quiet, although late-night revelers in the park disturbed some of our group.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone. This is the place to stay in Savannah. It is close to everything. Only a few blocks from the river, the market, shopping, &great restaurants. The service is superb, knowledgable & extremely friendly. Wine & cheese every night along with a great continental breakfast every morning.

Planters Inn is conveniently located in Savannah. Our room was lovely. The buffet breakfast included an extensive assortment of food. Happy Hour was fun. More than any of these fine features, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our vacation in Savannah was enhanced by this gem.
