We stayed here this week for the 9-10th time, which is summarized by annual vacation trips not work related. Marshall house remains a very good choice for a person/couple that like to walk and leave the car parked. It is in the center of Savannah's clothing shops, restaurants, and "Pubs." The staff is great and ready to help "point you in the right direction." They are knowledgeable and very friendly, tough to find in today's society!

Room Tip: Marshall House is located on one of the main streets of Savannah. Although we have not had any issue...

This was a really nice place to stay. You can walk through the historic district to most imporant landmarks from here. Room was small, but very comfortable. Great place for those interested in the history of the place.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Marshall. The room was spacious and quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet was varied each day and included some well-prepared southern favorites. The complimentary wine and cheese gathering in the evenings was a great way to begin the night. Even after dinner we returned to the common sitting area for a game of cards and were able to chat with other guests. The staff was wonderful and provided accurate information about sights to see and places to dine. We'll certainly be back the next time we're in Savannah.

While visiting the Savannah Historic district for a long weekend, I wanted to stay one night in a genuine historic (possibly haunted) hotel. The Mashall House definately fit the bill. The hotel exterior is gorgeous - classic, creepy, romantic. We arrived early, but were able to valet the car & check our luggage while we went exploring on foot. The front desk was very accommodating and called us later when the room was ready (3:30). The classic king room was private, spacious, clean and seemed newly remodeled. No scuffs on the baseboards, or dust bunnies here! Thoroughly enjoyed our super comfortable king bed with really nice linens. The room also had a flat screen tv mounted over the old fashioned fireplace, large antique wardrobe with bathrobes & safe, and cute "Savannah B&B" boutique shampoos/soaps. The bathroom was modern victorian with a walk-in tiled shower that was very cool. The wood floors were gorgeous, and gloriously warped so you practically rolled through the hallways. I love that they kept the old flooring and fireplaces in the hallways, it was like stepping back in time once we got away from the elevator. We could not resist exploring each floor and the creepy narrow back staircase. Did not see Gracie the ghost, but my husband had his first screaming ghostie nightmare while we were there....hmmm possible manifestation? I especially appreciated the not-quite-B&B atmosphere of the hotel. We were able to enjoy a romantic evening at a beautifully restored building without being forced to interact with other guests like your typical B&B.

Stayed 3 nights during a Southern States trip.Paid more for a balcony room which was great with access, through the window,to the 2nd floor communal balcony which had tables, rocking chairs and seats.Very relaxing after a day out.Room was spacious and well appointed. The free wine and cheese reception although only Sunday to Thursday was great with plenty of wine and cheese in the lounge. We enjoyed a Friday as well due to an external event which we could go to as residents, nice touch.Valet parking was good value although hotel was within walking distance of everything ie historic squares, restaurants, bars and music on River St..Great breakfast room and helpful desk.In short the place to stay in Savannah

Wooo! What a great location! My 2 girlfriends and I met in Savannah for a girlfriend trip-- had a wonderful time! We booked the room well in advance, and paid in advance. We went in October when the weather was beautiful and comfortable. We stayed in a double room that was plenty big enough. The wood floor was a little uneven, but it added to the charm. We didn't have a spectacular view, but we were sightseeing all day and it didn't matter. There was a TV, armoire, sitting area, fireplace (I think it's just for looks, though). Hair dryer, tile shower, pedestal sink with a shelf above; coffee maker and IHome radio. Savannah has a great nightlife and we walked everywhere (didn't need a car at all). We felt very safe walking around at night. The taxi ride to and from the hotel was about $50 one-way for the 3 of us and about 20-25 min travel, depending on traffic. The staff was very helpful with all our questions and knew who to call for attraction bookings. Decent breakfast, with wonderful biscuits. We look forward to going back one day.

Room Tip: Apparently there are rooms with king beds that have a veranda looking out onto the street. We loved...
