I was so looking forward to getting to the hotel, kicking back in a king sized bed, and finally enjoying what was thus far a trying "vacation." I called the hotel, prepaid the room, and was there in about 2 hours.
They gave away my room. I ended up in a room with two full beds, and the microwave and fridge that I had requested in advance had to be brought over. It was a handicap-accessible room, meaning that things were not set up for ease for us.
Everyone was nice and apologetic, but what about getting it right the first time? I was VERY clear about what I wanted, paid for it, and yet, got stuck. What happened to customer service? Yes, the room was clean and yes, they were nice enough, but still ... I PAID IN ADVANCE.
As far as the breakfast buffet, do NOT take it into account as breakfast when figuring out the cost of your stay. You will not want this coffee or anything else on it.
We chose this hotel because they take dogs. I plan on finding another next time we are in Savannah.
