“Welcoming and Always Friendly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

This was our second stay at Forsyth Park Inn within a year. We fell in love with it in August and just spent our 33rd anniversary there. The staff is amazing, the food delicious and the rooms and inn are just perfect. We are already planning our next visit. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had dinner reservations for our celebration, secured a taxi and are always there with a smile. Never miss breakfast! The view from the verandah, the size of the rooms and the overall ambiance makes this the perfect place to stay in Savannah!

Room Tip: All the rooms have great views but the Cottage gives you the most space

This B&B is a beautifully renovated old mansion with a very hospitable staff that go above & beyond to make their guests feel at home..from the bed linen turn-downs, to the cocktail hour, to the absolutely delicious breakfast..to calling cabs/making reservations..the staff was delightful. Our room was enormous & we thoroughly enjoyed the large fireplace being lit this weekend when it dropped down to 28 degrees! It can definitely be a nice romantic weekend get away..or a nice girls weekend. The only downside (if I had to really say something less than positive) was that our bathroom was a bit dated..but then again you're not there to spend time in the bathroom..and our wiifii did not work hardly at all..but then again you're not in Savannah to go on the internet!
Would definitely recommend this place to family & friends. Also keep in mind, it's not exactly walking distance to the main downtown, but the cab fare was on $6 & well worth it.. Also nice to be a little bit away from the action & across from the gorgeous park.

Sorry I did not write this sooner. My wife and I stayed in early December for our 30th anniversary and it was my first trip to Savannah (not my last, i can assure you). The inn was beautiful and upon arrival, Jerry showed us around and gave us pointers about what to do and see. We had a second floor room on a corner overlooking the park, nicely furnished and comfortable. The afternoon snack and evening sweets were great but the breakfast each morning was out of this world. Dwayne set us up and then helped us with our plans for the day.
Everyone and everything exceeded our expectations. Thanks to all and we would recommend the Forsythe Park Inn for visits to Savannah.

This inn is fantastic!! Book here!! This period property has a ton of character and the room was perfect. Couldnt fault the service - impeccable - and nothing was too much trouble. Stunning breakfast, lovely afternoon tea with home made cakes and happy hour drinks in the evening. was a great way to unwind after a big day or warm up for a night out. Wished we could have stayed longer and would definitely stay again!

I took my mother-in-law for a weekend getaway and we stayed at this B&B. We were immediately greeted by a very friendly front desk person who showed us around and filled us in on everything we needed to know. Upon entering our room, we found the fireplace to be lit. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. For a historic home, the shower had great water pressure. We awoke each morning to the smell of homemade breakfast, which was amazing, and were offered hors d'oeuvres each evening between 6-7 pm with wine and desert at night with coffee. The fireplace in the parlor was usually lit in the morning which made it nice and cozy. We felt very comfortable to roam about and come and go as we pleased. We enjoyed getting to know the Innkeeper as well as all of the staff. They were ALL super friendly and always very helpful. I would definitely recommend a visit here!

Room Tip: We stayed in Room #1, which we were told would be noisier than the other rooms, as it is right next...

The Forsyth Park Inn is the best bed and breakfast! The staff is the most helpful group I've ever met. Thanks Duwayne, Tabatha and Jerry! We had a wonderful breakfast on the veranda and very restful sleep in our gorgeous bedroom. The inn is beautiful and I hope to go back soon!

Room Tip: Everyone room I was was great!

Having never stayed at a B&B before, I was not entirely sure what to expect, and I have nothing to which I can compare it. The staff are very friendly and informative, and the the inn itself is beautiful. Breakfast, evening hors d'oeuvres, and evening sweets/tea are served daily and are delicious! The owner's signature granola is a real treat! We stayed in the Garden Cottage, and it was lovely. We would stay here again. Despite the "pet friendly" designation of the cottage, there were no signs of animal presence- i.e. it was very clean! The downside- our bed was not the most comfortable, but wasn't terrible.

Room Tip: Talk to the front desk about your needs and wants- different rooms have different offerings.
