“Excellent Find in Savannah”
Reviewed January 26, 2012

This property exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by the owner, experienced a wonderful room (#3 has twin Queen beds and a fireplace!). The amenities and breakfast were wonderful. The property is located directly across the street from Forsyth Park, which we enjoyed walking. And, we were within easy walking distance of a great restaurant which was recommended by the Forsyth Inn.

Room Tip: We peeked in a couple of rooms, and they were both unique and very nice. We selected #3, on the firs...

this is hands down the best bed and breakfast in savannah. it sits on forsyth park, and i can tell you that none of the others do, no matter what they claim. we've been visiting savannah once yearly, often twice, for the last 6 years. we frequently go on the christmas home and inn tours to scope out the other inns. they are pretty, but they're not on forsyth park. in the springtime, you can have the windows open or sit on the front porch, or just walk 20 feet into the park, and hear the fountain and see the azaleas. the breakfasts are always great, the evening wine and cheese hour provides a hot appetizer, and the nighttime desserts are homemade too. we barely even need to eat anywhere else! the staff is always charming and helpful, esp the 4 footed staff. Though Misty passed away a few years ago and Sadie Mae only visits now on special occasions, both girls were always eager to welcome new and returning guests. Sadie is the epitome of what an innkeeper cat should be: gorgeous decor yet friendly, affectionate and willing to snuggle.
We only stayed elsewhere once and it just wasn't the same. for us, the proximity to the park, the food, the friendliness all make it a trip to savannah and forsyth park inn is an integral part of the experience. we'll never stay anywhere else!

We stayed for a weekend at the Forsyth Park In in Savannah. We had a Living Social coupon so our price was lower than what it would have been at full price. With that being said, I would definitely return and pay the full price! We had a great room at the top of the stairs in the corner, with a view of Forsyth Park and a bit of a view of the courtyard. The room was big and beautiful. There was a tiny hallway that lead into the bathroom, where the tub was in a little room by itself. It made it very private if you want to soak in the tub. Breakfast was fabulous both days, with lots of choices of breads and pastries, along with a different main course each morning. The dining room is very nice and at other times during the day, they set out snacks and drinks. We were a short walk or drive down to the river, so I think you would probably be okay in that location without a car, but its nice to have a car to drive around and see everything. The people at the desk were also extremely helpful with suggestions for dinner. A great place to stay in a great town!

Room Tip: I would get a room that's not on the street side, as it was a bit noisy early in the morning. H...

We enjoyed our stay on December 21, 2011. The room was lovely and quiet. The recommendations for supper were just perfect- The Crystal Beer Parlor. We enjoyed walking in Forsyth Park before breakfast. Breakfast was delicious and included fresh fruit and tasty eggs and pancakes. Best of all we were able to eat on the porch. We will definitely come back.

Thanksgiving 2011 weekend, my loving husband whisked me away for a surprise birthday get-a-way to the 1800's beautifully designed & decorated Forsythe Park Inn. It was very romantic and the ajacent historic park was an added delight. The food was great and staff informative, friendly and professional. The room was clean and spacious, the bed most comfortable and we had a wonderful view of the garden. It's an ideal location and we highly recommend this EXCELLENT bed and breakfast for ANY occasion!!! A "special thanks" to the Inn Keepers, Mr. & Mrs. Blass for a job well done and hats off to the entire staff for an unforgettable stay!

Room Tip: All the rooms and views are great.

Everything about this Inn is perfect! The porch is one of the largest on the park. The food was very good and the room comfortable and private. You will enjoy staying here. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and we ate breakfast and had evening wine and snacks in front of the living room fireplace. We were able to walk to everything.

We are actually a college couple who found the living social deal for something cute to do together before going back home for winter break. It was beyond our expectations. The staff was very friendly (and attractive might I add). Everything was spotless, they helped up plan our entire itinerary. We were able to see so much of the city within our short stay. At night, they offered snacks in the common area which we were able to bond with the other visitors who were equally as friendly. It was an overall great experience.

Room Tip: When booking, I asked for a recommendation and was not let down. There is a smaller room with a bal...
