I was misguided by the reviews here and also by the brand name of Marriott to book 3 nights at the midtown Courtyard by Marriott. The hotel is dated to say the least and when I say dated, it doesn't mean that it has the charm of historic Savannah, its plain old. The fixtures, bath amenities (lukewarm shower with no pressure) and the overall look and feel of the guest room is of 90s, or even 80s. The rooms were good size but I could hear people walking outside as if the door of the room was left open.
I checked in late at night and the staff was not courteous at all. They did not greet us or even had a small talk. The lady behind the counter didn't even bother to look up and smile. She just punched numbers on her computer and handed us the keys.
Microwaves are not standard in all rooms! We ended up in a room without one and had to request the front desk to get one to heat the baby food.
For much lower price you will find better hotels on that street (Abercorn). I am not going to a Marriott again.More
