I would like to say THANK YOU to all of the wonderful staff at the Presidents Quarters. We stayed here on the weekend of Feb. 5th-8th. We were the ones who got married in the previous post! It was everything we had hoped for. The only glitch was the first night when we arrived late and the keys that were waiting for us were actually for the wrong room. Luckily the lady that was staying in the room had her TV on so we knocked instead of just going right in. haha. This was quickly resolved by John and we were taken to our right room. The room was magnificent! Everything was immaculate and in its' place. The king bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very large. I cannot say enough about how nice the room was. We stayed in the FDR 201 room which had its very own strret level access, which we used a couple times. The balcony overlooked the courtyard where we were married at on Saturday afternoon. The wedding went very well and all our fears were put to rest by the gracious staff who answered all our questions and listened to my wife and was able to get the flowers and cake she wanted. We ended up hiring a seperate photographer just because we wanted to have the option of having the pictures touched up if needed. We hired Lisabeth Christy photography and she was awesome as well. She took us all around the city taking pictures! All in all she took about 400 pics! The wedding officiant that the Inn provided was extremely nice and was able to put us at ease once we met him and his wife. His father had actually just passed away and he still showed up to perform our ceremony before he had to leave. Thank You! The Inn provided a tasteful cake that was covered with fondant and actually quite pretty. The breakfast was prepared in the onsite kitchen and was very good. We did not try the appetizers in the afternoon but they did look quite tasty. We were able to walk to the many shops nearby and leave our car parked safely in the onsite parking lot. Parking is a premium in this city! We also enjoyed two very good meals at The Chart House and at The Olde Pink House. I would recommend both of the places to anyone wanting a nice romantic meal
Once again we would like to say thank you to The Presidents Quarters and their wonderful staff.
