“Lovely! This place puts the BREAKFAST in Bed & Breakfast!”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

Our first impression was of the staff who from the start were friendly & very helpful. The Southern Hospitality was in full effect!

Our room was full of antique furnishings complete with a lovely fireplace. The house which is over a hundred years old was well maintained and full of framed copies of historic publications from newspapers and framed pictures of past presidents of the era.

We visited during the winter and it was so nice to return to the hotel to find a decanter of sherry waiting on a table in the sitting room of the lobby! A wonderful way to take the chill off!

The location is very convenient to all that Savannah has to offer & getting around the city was easy either on foot by car or by tour bus which is quite fun!

Special mention must be made of the spectacular breakfasts this B&B offers. Great old fashioned southern cooking with the best grits I've ever had! Up til then I was never a fan but this place did them right!!

I would definitely recommend this hotel & would certainly stay there again!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Kennedy Suite which was very nice but I did some snooping & checked out vacant...

Three of my friends and I stayed here for a girls weekend away for Mother's Day weekend. The room was comfortable, breakfast was delicious (Anna is a wonderful cook) and the staff was very friendly, especially the staff there in the evening. We loved that it was a central location and we could walk to every place that we wanted. Free parking at the hotel was a bonus.

We travel with friends and had three rooms. Great property well positioned on Oglethorpe Square. Great rooms, great service, near everything. We were there for three nights and my wife and I walked from square to square or to the waterfront each morning before breakfast. Lovely. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was wonderful. Annette saw that we needed help with our itinerary and prepared one for us. It was perfect!. Our sink had a little problem and Annette fixed it ("Why wait for maintenance", she said).
They were all nice, the rooms were big and comfy, and we were treated like family. Go for it.

Everyone here is so friendly, it's just a pleasure to stay here. Our LBJ room was spacious, comfortable, quiet, modern, and clean. The prices are steep, but they are pretty well matched by the quality. If anything, the complimentary breakfasts are a little over the top in heaviness, but you can order a lighter meal if you like. Signing up for a breakfast time was not a problem for us; it made getting breakfast a little more efficient and avoided crowding the tiny inside eating area. The afternoon tea was a treat! Complimentary bottles of water and soda were a nice touch. The location is great, central to about everything a tourist might like to see and walkable to most, including the river front. Free off-street parking was a real benefit, because parking in that area is a nightmare.

Room Tip: The rooms are all unique. Look at the web site to see which room appeals to you. There is an elevato...

What a wonderful find! After researching online for a B&B in the historical district, this was a perfect one. Private parking, outdoor courtyard, and beautiful rooms helped to make this our number one choice. My sister and I travel to Savannah for a 2-night trip and we were so glad we chose this Inn. We were on top floor (Truman 403) which has two double beds and plenty of room. The room was very nice and the bathroom was large with double sinks. We found it to be a quiet but we were there mid-week. The location is perfect for walking to all the Parks, to City Market, and to River Street. Excellent concierge service for fine dining and local tours.

My wife and I recently stayed at the President's Quarters for two nights. Great location in the historic district, on-site parking, spacious and clean rooms, and friendly staff. Our only complaint: one needs to sign up the night before for a 30-minute time slot for breakfast; this does avoid 'traffic jams' in the small and rather cramped breakfast space. Even so, we would return.

I enjoy coming to the president's quarter. You are in-fact treated like royalty. Not sure why expectation is there to tip house-keeping and cooks when the rooms are pricey. The only downside is the exquisite breakfast items are a bit too unique. Folks in the south are fine with the traditional sausage, eggs, waffles, pancakes, and grits. Cut the high-end crap and stick to the basics are at least still offer it. This is when money is thrown away because most southerners look forward to a hearty breakfast not some gourmet dish for breakfast! (Sorry but breakfast was a major doozey).

Room Tip: High-end bed and breakfast. Any room is great!
