Hamilton-Turner Inn
Ranked #2 of 115 Hotels in Savannah
Certificate of Excellence

I recently had an opportunity to stay at the Hamilton Turner Inn and enjoyed every minute from the wonderful breakfast served by our charming host to the beautiful decorated suite we stayed in. The amenities and service you will experience are numerous. Coffee served in the parlor in the morning starts the day and cookies on your bed is a finishing touch. The location in this historical area is perfect for walking to a museum or taking the Old Savannah Trolley Tour to see more sights. If you are planning a trip to Savannah, this historical inn should be your first choice for comfort and quality.

What a wonderful, classic place to stay while in Savannah. The room was spacious and wonderfully decorated. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were simply divine. Wine and cheese in the parlor (sitting room?) was wonderful. And you can't beat the location. We would highly recommend.

My mom and I recently took a trip to Savannah and stayed three-days/two-nights at the Hamilton-Turner Inn. Each room is decorated differently with beautiful furniture and accents. We stayed in the Juliette Gordon Low room and the Button Gwinnet suite on the top floor - if you don't mind two flights of stairs, I highly recommend both rooms. Lovely breakfast in the morning with the charming proprietress, who is more than happy to tell you about the house or give you sightseeing tips for the day. There's no traditional "room service" but they were able to send us up a bottle of wine one night so what more do you need :) The inn is perfectly located on Lafayette Square, easily within walking distance of anywhere you want to go and right next door to St. John's Cathedral, which is a must-see while you're there. All in all, we can't recommend this hotel enough and can't wait to return to Savannah and stay at the inn again!

This was a 40th anniversary trip for us and we researched many inns before settling on the Hamilton Turner Inn. And we feel that we made the right choice. Everyone was very gracious, helpful and informative. No question or need was too small. We had a room with our own door to one of the courtyards which we enjoyed. Overlooked Layfayette Square. The breakfast specials changed daily, but they always had really good vanilla yogurt, their own granola, fruit and a pastry of some kind. Coffee available before the 8:00 breakfast sitting; wine and cheese, dips and veggies at 5. Port later. We can't wait to go back again!

Room Tip: Our room was smaller than what appeared on line. We were ground level and tours do go by regularly...

My wife and I stayed here this past Friday night to spend just over 24 hours in Savannah, and we had a great experience from initially booking the last remaining room to checking out. Tim, Brian, and the entire staff were all great!
Our room was on the uppermost floor, so we had an extra cardio program which helped burn off Friday's lunch at Mrs. Wilkes, dinner at The Pink House, and Saturday morning breakfast in The Inn. Breakfast was also a great "plus".
Could not believe we actually stayed in Mandy's former home, site of Joe Odom's parties.

Looking forward to return visit, thanks!

Our first trip to Savannah and we chose Hamilton-Turner Inn from TripAdvisor reviews and its location in the historical area of Savannah. We were not disappointed. The service provided by the staff at the Inn was excellent from our check-in to departure. Afternoon snacks in the parlor, evening port in the parlor and a wonderful Southern breakfast in the morning were all part of the amenities. The Inn is located in the heart of the historical area where we were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to go. Horse drawn carriages, bus tours, and pedi-cabs were also available right outside the front entrance. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Savannah.
