“A wonderful girls weekend !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2012

The Azalea Inn was the perfect choice for our most recent girls weekend. The Inn itself was beautiful as was the carriage house that we stayed in. We reserved both floors and it was plenty of room for 6 of us. The carriage house sits away from the main house a bit, seperated by a very nice courtyard, patio, pool area. The breakfast each morning was delicious and they will share their recipes if you ask. We were able to enjoy the evening appetizers/ wine and sometimes we took the nightly dessert to bed with us upon our return from sightseeing. It is a great location, just a short walk to Forsyth Park and a little bit further to the Riverfront. Anything you needed all you had to do was ask for it. The beds were so comfy and the sheets.......well I have ordered a pair for home already ! Thank you to Kolin, Kimberly & Theresa for a delightful weekend, we will return.

Room Tip: I recommend the carriage house if you are going with a group that might be a bit noisy.

My husband and I stayed at The Azalea Inn for 3 nights. We were instantly pleased by the warm greeting we received and by the beautiful accommodations. We felt right at home, met some charming people and could not have wished for a better place to stay on our visit to Savannah. The hostess, Kimberly, was truly a lovely person and helped us with our every need, including making reservations for several tours that we took. Breakfast was terrific and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in - including my own!! We would highly recommend staying here.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Azalea Inn in late April, 2012. A nice change from the big hotels. The room was comfortable and spacious, the breakfast delicious and the wine and appetizers an added treat. Teresa was extremely helpful with our daily tour excursions. The Inn is on a quiet street away from the major tourist activity, yet close enough to easily access all that Savannah has to offer.

My wife and I stayed at the Azalea Inn for 2 nights for our 6th anniversary and we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Huntingdon bedroom and it was very comfortable and actually very quiet. It is a very nice older house that is very well kept and the whole staff was very friendly and helpful (espicially Kimberly). The breakfeast was good both days. We recomend the pink house for a special occasion dinner and there are a lot of cool antiques stores and historical places to see in Savannah. We recommend the Azalea Inn for sure.

Room Tip: Huntingdon room was super nice and very comfortable bed.

Two friends and I shared the Garden Suite at Azalea Inn for four nights and had a wonderful stay. Their breakfasts and afternoon snacks were plentiful and delicious. Kimberly made sure to ask about food preferences and followed up on seeing we were accommodated. It was great to come back from sightseeing, relax by the pool, and have a slice of the day's dessert. Everyone was helpful with suggestions of places to go and providing directions to and from. The accommodations were very nice, but the people made the Inn one of the best we've ever found.

The one disappointment of our trip was that we only had one night to spend in Savannah at the Azalea. We had spent weeks comparing amenities and reviews of Savannah Bed and Breakfasts, and after narrowing it down, chose Azalea. What a wonderful place! We arrived a little late due to car trouble, and were disappointed that we had missed the afternoon refreshments! We were greeted warmly and given some wine to help us de-stress from our crazy afternoon. We stayed in the Huntingdon room, which is the original master bedroom of the inn. The bed was SO comfortable, and the room was charming. The staff recommended the Italian restaurant next door for dinner, since we had a tour to meet later that evening. It was fantastic! Breakfast the next morning was incredible, and consisted of juice, coffee, muffins, chicken broccoli quiche (to die for) and potatoes. We got to meet Joey the dog, who was just adorable! We will be sure to return when we have more time to spend in Savannah!

Many thanks to Azalea Inn and Gardens in accomodating all our needs on a get-a-way weekend to surprise my husband for his 50th birthday. Our friends who joined in on the surprise were also very happy with the Southern Hospitality. Kolin and Kimberly worked with me for weeks to ensure a memorable stay. Loved the outside balcony that comes with the Live Oak Room. Thanks so much! We are already talking about our next visit with yall b/c one can not experience Savannah in a weekend!
