“Gorgeous - But They Need To Pay Attention”
Reviewed August 1, 2009

Fabulous, stylish, and "budget luxurious" property at a very attractive price.

However, there were signs of a lack of attention to detail in our beautiful king mini-suite. In several locations something (coffee?) had been splashed onto the walls and not cleaned. Overall, an upscale new property with a level of style and luxury more suited to a property costing $50-100 more.

About a 20-25 minute drive into Savannah downtown historic areas - worth it for a new, clean property without downtown headaches (i.e. parking costs).

Stayed here overnight on a trip to WDW in Orlando. Hotel is convenient to I-95 and right outside the Savannah airport. The property is new with an interesting modern and boutique hotel vibe. Staff was friendly and check-in proceeded smoothly. While the price point was in the sub-$150 range, the value was not really there especially with a not particularly clean room. We had a ketchup stain on the work desk, crumbs on the desk chair, and hair in the bathroom sink. This made it hard to like an otherwise interesting hotel in the category crowded wtih Staybridges, Hilton Garden Inns, and similar. The Cambria charged about $10 for breakfast in the morning and high speed internet was free. All in all a mixed bag experience with the housekeeping issues.

We just got back from our trip to Savannah, and one of the best things about the trip was the surprising quality of the hotel. To nitpick, the pool area was very small, as were the pool towels. Also, the breakfast was pricey ($10) and no different from standard business traveler fare.
Aside from that, the rooms were large and quite comfortable. We had rented a one bedroom suite, and it exceeded our expectations. It is so nice when traveling with children to be able to go into your own bedroom and shut the door. We had a VERY comfortable bed, and a flat screen TV in both rooms. The sofa bed was also quite comfortable, without a single complaint from our teenager. The room also had free WIFI, a small fridge, as well as a small coffee maker, The bathroom was of good size, and well laid out.
The lobby of the hotel was also quite comfortable. They even had an internet kiosk set up, with a printer so that we could print out our airline boarding passes. The best of all was the hotel staff. They were without exception one of the finest crews I have seen. They were friendly, cheerful, and helpful. We even had a situation where a fellow patron had been smoking in his room (forbidden) and they took care of it immeditately. We saw them professionally handling the situation as we were returing to our room. The same person a bit later was screaming and cursing so loudly that he could be heard down the hall. We reported that incident, and the staff immediately handled it, so that for the rest of our stay, not another sound came from that room. They were amazing!
I have stayed in places that were much more expensive and not nearly as nice. This was a premium value for any traveler, whether for business or for pleasure.

Agree with the excellent reviews already posted. Very friendly greeting, great looking rooms, two flat screen TVs, good breakfast buffet (about $10 ea).

Quibbles: closet in our room was small and difficult to access; entry drive is cramped, esp. with the courtesy van occupying one lane; no landscaping yet.

But we will definitely stay there again.

My sister and I visited Savannah in early May. We preferred to stay at Cambia Suites instead of paying higher rates at a downtown or midtown hotel. We had a vehicle, so it was no problem to drive wherever we wanted to go. We were able to check in early--at around noon--since we arrived in Savannah earlier than expected. The young man at the front desk looked very professional in his suit, and was friendly and helpful. The suite we reserved had two queen beds, and it was beautiful and well appointed. The decor was lovely. I was impressed by the two plasma TV's. My sister watched one while she took advantage of the free wifi, and I watched the other. We spent all day Saturday in downtown Savannah and were tired and grimy when we got back to the suite. The housekeeper did an excellent job of cleaning the room. Save for our belongings, the suite looked just as it did when we checked in the night before. My sister and I had a great experience at this hotel. We would definitely come back for another stay.

This new branch of Choice hotels near the Savannah airport is all about top drawer amenities and contemporary decor. From the entrance, which has marble and granite counters and floors, service areas for drinks and snacks, an onsite restaurant offering dinner and breakfast, this new 'baby' of Choice hotels is truly Top Choice. There are only 13 built so far, due to the recession, but many are planned. Rooms have microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, sofa and chair separate sitting area w/flat screen TV, flat screen TV at the bed, and free wifi! Complimentary business center, guest laundry, 1500 sf work out center! Unless you are dying to spend some time in a venerable old inn intown, this will do very well! MORE THAN all the comforts of home!

My wife, 4yr old daughter and I stayed there last week on our way to disney We loved the rooms, the hotel and location. We left our princess doll clothes in the room and it they were accidentially thrown out. When we checked back in 3 days later after returning from Disney and they agreed to make an adjustment to our bill to reflect the cost of the thrown out items. We were very pleased with the customer service. The hotel is very new and I would definitely stay there again.
