“Disappointed ”
Reviewed February 24, 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Recently stayed here for a girls trip a few weeks ago and were extremely disappointed. Upon arrival we found the house unclean. Many rat droppings were found in the living room, bedrooms were unswept and had many dustbunnies everywhere. Kitchen drawers were disgusting. Behind the Murphy bed we found many dead bugs and lots of dirt. In the bathroom, lots of mold and empty bottles of face wash that past residents much have dropped and housekeeping never picked up. It was unpleasant to have to come in and clean right away. When we went to bed the first night, we were even more disappointed. Sheets and bedspreads were stained and the pillows were absolutely disgusting...a pillow costs $5 at walmart, something lucky savannah should put part of out $1700 towards. The washing machine was also filled with black mold. We called lucky savannah to file our complaints right away and we were offered to have housekeeping come in and reclean for us....at this point we had already cleaned and we were not about to waste a vacation day to sit and watch people do a job that should have already been done. We found rat droppings on two other occasions in the home so it definitely has a resident rat that hopefully they take care of now that we are out. On one night we also came home to our lockbox not working. Guest relations came to our house right away but unfortunately could not get the lockbox working and none of the keys they had for the house worked....this ended up being due to the keys being mismarked. Eventually maintenance came and figured it out and turns out the lockbox battery had run low so they had to replace the battery for us....in the future this should be checked between every departure and arrival of a new guest. The whole ordeal took about an hour. Other recommendations I would have for this place would be to fix the storm door for the courtyard...it did not even come close to shutting, fix the sink in the main bathroom....the vanity it missing pieces and the sink just sits in there wobbly and sprays water everywhere since the faucet does not have the proper part.....someone complained about this same issue a few months back and lucky savannah replied saying they will fix it....clearly that did not happen. Also the main bathroom needs a fan or some sort of ventilation other than just the window that opens to the third bedroom...that window should also have a shutter over it so people can use that bathroom and feel like they have some sort of privacy. All in all the house is cute and would be nice if it was just cared for properly and clean. The staff that we dealt with at lucky savannah were also very nice, but I feel like just offering for housekeeping to come back and clean is not a solution....before we arrived someone higher up than housekeeping needs to come in and give the house a good check. We spent $1700 to rent this for the week and it was definitely not worth the money. We would not recommend lucky savannah to anyone.

“Courtyard on Gaston was a perfect fit for our family”
Reviewed May 13, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

I was in charge of finding our rental place for this trip. I received high praise for my selection (Courtyard on Gaston) because my wife was very pleased with how clean, stylish and spacious the place was. We were in Savannah for a wedding and needed a place that was kid-friendly for our toddler. This place fit the bill. There is a den/living room space that is separated by a door that was great for us. When our little one would wake at 6 AM and everyone else was sleeping, I'd take him in there to play while everyone else was getting some much needed rest. We only had one issue that came up. The cute pocket door for the guest bathroom locked itself when we closed it and we could not open it from the outside. They sent a handy man over in less than 20 min to help us out. The location couldn't be better. The historic district has so many shops, restaurants and parks nearby. I will stay here again in a heartbeat the next time we're in Savannah

“Great house and location”

Great house- had everything we needed. Location was very convenient to everything. Could use more exterior lighting, especially on Tatentall St side. Even thought there was no designated parking, easily found parking on street. Just be aware of street sweeping schedule.
