OM goodness this praline candy is unique, the best smelling stuff, taste and texture is heavenly. I will have to order online too, since won't be back in person soon... nice to know that is available.

“Free pecan praline samples!”
Reviewed March 14, 2012

The smell draws you into the store. When you walk in there is someone there cutting the freshly made pecan pralines and they give you a sample! Yummy!

“Draws You In”
Reviewed March 8, 2012

It's not a trip to Savannah without a stop at the two River Street Sweets. There is always a wonderful aroma filtering out from underneath the big red awnings. It always, without fail, draws you inside. Even if you're trying to resist.

I purchased a bear claw and a couple sugarless chocolates. The pricing was fair, if a little expensive...Let's face it, prices are generally high on River Street (for the most part, anyway).

To be completely honest though, I would have gone to Savannah's Candy Kitchen if it were closer. The people there were a bit nicer...

“The best treat!”
Reviewed February 26, 2012

Loads of crispy pecan nuts turned in lukewarm fudge-like Praline - or in soft chewy-chewy caramel covered by an outrageously THICK layer of white chocolate (Bear Claws)! Can you imagine? The River Street homemade sweets are so delicious that they almost bring tears to your eyes. We visited their shop in Market Street, Charleston - and had to return to their shop in East River Street, Savannah, 2 days later to try again. Don't miss it if you are in these parts! - Mmmmm. :-)
