We had read appealing comments on the Internet and were ready to try the Olde Savannah Inn.

It was clear to us that Kathleen has put a lot of energy into selecting the French Period furnishings to make it a home where she graciously welcomes her guests. The beds, yes beds plural, were luxurious - our last minute decision to add another night put us in the Bellevue room, since the Renaissance room was already booked.

One night, Kathleen provided us with splits of champagne and an elegantly arranged bowl of large strawberries and grapes to enjoy in the parlor to end a romantic evening.

We loved her 5-star breakfasts in the bright and airy breakfast room with elegant table settings. It was fine dining at 9:00 AM. The artfully arranged fruit cup was followed by one of her specialties: waffles with strawberries and her over the top homemade whipped cream, Eggs Benedict on a croissant with ham and pesto, a vegetable omelet and many other specialties of the house.

Her recommendations for dinner were excellent. We enjoyed a wide variety from the Crystal Beer Palace, to Elizabeth's and the Olde Pink House Restaurant. We even took a Bike Taxi back one evening after Kathleen had mentioned how much fun they are.

An added treat at breakfast was talking with and getting to know the other interesting guests.

The location is perfect. We parked our Explorer in back of the Inn and walked the Historic District, took The Olde Town Trolley or a taxi in the evening. It was really convenient.

When we return to Savannah we will stay again at the Olde Savannah Inn!

My husband and I celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary with Kathleen at The Olde Savannah Inn April 19-21, 2013. Upon entering our room my eyes filled with tears. The room was breathtaking and so much more than the pictures can show. The attention to detail in the decorating of the room was outstanding. My husband has trouble sleeping at home and joked with Kathleen that she must have "sleepy dust" in the room because he had the best nights sleep in a long time. The luxurious bed was so comfortable and beautiful crisp sheets. Yes Kathleen irons her bed linens daily to make the beds beautiful! Imagine getting the best nights sleep ever and then slowly awake to the aroma of a delicious breakfast. As you enter the stunning breakfast table you are greeted with period Olde Savannah music and the smiling face of Kathleen with a fresh coffee press in hand. The first morning we were served white chocolate chip banana pancakes with Kathleen's homemade whip cream which is thought was a rich french vanilla ice cream. The finale breakfast of our trip was the creme brulee french toast I requested from other reviews. It was delicious and again served with Kathleen's home made whip cream. After a long day of touring beautiful Savannah, Kathleen has treats ready for you to rejuvenate before dinner. Imagine sipping wine in a rocking chair on the back porch overlooking the garden. Kathleen arranges your dinner reservations, pedi cab rides to dinner and horse drawn carriage rides after dinner delivering you right back to her fabulous retreat. Don't waste another minute thinking about it, book your experience at The Olde Savannah Inn today! We can't wait to go back.

We recently spent 5 nights at The Olde Savannah Inn and came away awestruck by the level of service that Innkeeper Kathleen provides for all of her guests, as she welcomes you into her lovingly restored home. Her attention to detail makes your stay so much better than just "normal." Her breakfasts were oh-so-yummy, with a very nice variety served over the course of our stay. The accomodations are very comfortable - the beds, the sheets and those pillows that made it tough to want to get up and moving in the morning. The Inn is very conveniently located to anything we wanted to do - we did not rent a car and found that was a wise choice, as it wasn't needed or missed. We can definitely recommend Kathleen's The Olde Savannah Inn to anyone visiting Savannah. Mary & Andy, Minnesota

The Olde Savannah Inn is a beautiful home located in the historic district. Just a block or two from the fountain in Forsythe park. The walk to Riverstreet is about 15 or 20 minutes through some of the prettiest squares and sights in Savannah. The food at the Olde Savannah Inn was wonderful - you definitely don't need lunch after the delicious (and large) home cooked breakfasts. Kathleen is a great hostess and will arrange for whatever you need to have a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Versailles Court room. Its bathroom is spacious and beautiful. Two clawfoot tubs...

We are glad this reviewer though my home was beautiful and we provided great service. Our goal is to provide the Best of amenities with the highest standard of quality ...including our custom mattresses from a local company in Savannah . Actually we have had calls after guest leave to provide them with the contact to purchase our mattresses. I am sorry this guest thought our mattresses were too firm. She actually shared that with me through an email. This reviewer graded us a 4 in value and expressed the Versailles Court is expensive. This room is breathtaking taking...With the offering on Tripadvisor.com she paid $249.00 with 2 bottles of mini champagnes in April during our highest month of the year. She thought the location deserved a 4 rating as it was 15-29 minutes to the river. Gaston and Jones Streets are the best locations in the historic district ...Gorgeous tree lined streets with all residential mansion and antebellum homes with lots of antique shops. Fabulous location! We were rated a 4 in service even though this reviewer commented Great service. Each morning we begin the day with a beautiful sit down candlelight gourmet breakfast /big band music in the background and an elegant table set for two. I will invite anybody to come here and complain about my breakfast. It is impeccable...Actually from the time you arrive to the time you leave, you are catered to each and every day by Miss Kathleen who really treats you as if you have been a part of her family. Room service every day unless I am told not to bother, delights on the tray with fresh water, port at night, a glass of wine to welcome....or maybe you would prefer tea or a French press. Throughout this guest's stay, I continually asked her if I could get her anything and the answer was always the same...No thank you as she insisted how full she was from the various eateries ..

This guest arrived late in the evening and I asked her if I could get them a little snack and both said" hey were going to check out River street and get something to eat. My snack would ruin their appetite. My goal is to do what is best for the guest. One of the disappointments she had shared with me was how they went to sit at the breakfast table and I had reserved it for another guest who was leaving that morning and I had promised them. the bay window table. I didn't realize this was going to be a factor grading my service. I only have 1 bay window and I try to be really fair as all the guest want that particular table.I haven't worked hard for 6 years to accept a reputation of a 4- star establishment...I am hoping that the author of this review will consider staying in a less expensive room in the future and experiencing a 5-Star stay.as the testimonials of so many of our guests ..Thank you for allowing us to serve you and I appreciate your generous gratuity. Thank you, Kathleen

We recently vacationed in beautiful Savannah, GA. We were fortunate to stay at a beautiful Bed & Breakfast called the Olde Savannah Inne. It is in the old historic area of Savannah and is situated in a great location of this great city. Our host, Kathleen, was very gracious and of course - accommodating. The Home was beautiful, the food was wonderful and the food was plentiful throughout the day.

We highly recommend the Olde Savannah Inne for your stay in Savannah.

I want to thank this guest for taking the time to post a review with their busy schedules I am disappointed that they thought Our Olde Savannah Inn fell short of a 5-Star stay. What is really frustrating for innkeepers is that we need to be told of any disappointments before we ask you to post on these open forums. Anytime you think we fall short of giving you the best of Savannah Please don't wait until you leave. We try to be the best host and hostess but we can't correct any issues if we don't know what they are. Location is permanent . Beautiful location. If you wanted to be closer to the river, than maybe the Old Harbor Inn or River St Inn should have been your Savannah destination. This guest stayed in the lovely Bellevue room ...Beautiful ash white Bella sleigh bed from the UK...Karastan wall to wall oriental rug, end tables from the Waldorf Westoria...Rated this room a 4 star...Crisp pressed all European sheets high end amenities, Gilchrist & Soammes out of London, The only thing I can think of is this room has no outside window. This room has the best nights sleep for those who are sleep deprived...When I show my guests all the rooms they all say the same thing, there isn't a bad room in the house. Attention to detail is extradionary for a bed and breakfast. I want to thank this guest for their business ...Kathleen.

We had an amazing weekend at the inn. The room was luxurious and the breakfast was 5 star. It all exceeded our expectations. Kathleen was a gracious hostess and the overall experienced was far better than a traditional hotel stay. The location is serene and within walking distance of many attractions. We are already planning our trip back.

From the moment these guests arrived, they were in sheer wonder...It is such a pleasure to see a guest arrive with such enthusiasm and excitement to be here. This guest planned their stay months in advance and they were really looking forward to their stay in the Versailles Court. Everyday, they would go out to the city and be in awe of such a fabulous city and all its rich history. Absolutely loved having them stay at The Olde Savannah Inn. These are the guests that every Innkeeper would love to have in their home. What a joy! I hope these guests come back to stay at The Olde Savannah Inn if they return to Savannah. Thank you for allowing us to serve you during your visit to beautiful Savannah. Your hostess, Kathleen

The Olde Savannah Inn, (Bed & Breakfast) Savannah, Georgia

To truly experience Savannah, you must stay at a Bed & Breakfast Inn. Hotels are available anywhere, but the charm of a Southern bed and breakfast is the way to go to truly experience the unique “Southern Hospitality”. The Olde Savannah Inn gives each guest that kind of experience. Every room, beautifully decorated, has its own distinctive charm to offer. The provisions are outstanding from the luxurious linens, comfortable beds, personal robes and slippers to the wonderful treats left in the room for that afternoon or evening sweet craving. Nothing here has been forgotten. Special needs are meet upon a simple request to your hostess, Kathleen Dupuis. Everything from transportation and directions, to local dining recommendations.

Kathleen makes The Olde Savannah Inn the The Olde Savannah Inn. Her Boston upbringing blends well with her gracious southern hospitality. She will pamper you from the moment you arrive until the minute you leave. Her daily breakfasts are served at 9 AM at personal tables for two in a sun-filled room that makes the guests know they are being treated special. All of this is contrary to what we all have experienced at hotels and inns that offer their self-serve, prepackaged, “continental breakfasts” that begin at 6 and end at 9 AM. Most of what Kathleen serves is freshly handmade in the inn and comes from her years of experience in the kitchen. Each morning the menu is different. While there, we were treated to her banana pancakes served with glazed apples and homemade whipped cream; her eggs benedict served over a French croissant; and finally her crème brulé French toast, again served with homemade whipped cream. The meal itself is worth getting out of the comfortable bed to begin the day. We would return just for her food!

We all want our personal experiences to live up to our expectations. Our experience at The Olde Savannah Inn was all that we had hoped it would be and more. We would like to personally thank Kathleen for a being such an exceptional hostess and extending her hospitality to us during our recent visit to Savannah! Our four day, three night experience with her bed and breakfast is one that we will never forget. It left a sweet, lovely memory for us to enjoy forever as we recall our first, but not our last trip to Savannah. We will be back to Savannah and especially to The Old Savannah Inn.

Until that time, we know Kathleen will leave the gas porch light lit and the bedroom with the king-sized canopy bed and large sunken tub surrounded by beautiful columns reserved for our next visit.
