All-in-all, a very pleasant hotel. Not the prettiest views, but a great central location. The staff treat you like family. For the south, you'd expect to get "homemade grits" with breakfast, but like I said, you get more than you pay for when you stay here. If you want to pay triple and stay at the Bohemia, have fun with all of the panhandlers along the riverside. You don't get any of that here.

My husband and I spent the week end in Savannah enjoying private time and the River Street night life together. This hotel was very gay friendly and supportive and we both left more in love than when we arrived. I love you Jonathan Kane Roper

We stayed here for three nights while visiting the historic district in Savannah. The hotel is in easy walking distance through out the historic district and the river walk area. The welcome center and trolleys are a couple of blocks away. The rooms are very nice and include a wet bar type area with a sink, microwave and mini-fridge. The room was good size and included a flat screen TV, couch, chair several tables and a desk and chair. Other reviewers had issues with the beds but ours were fine. Included is a hot breakfast including pre-cooked omelets, bacon, sausage and gravy and biscuits, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, fresh fruit, waffle made to order, yogurt, etc... We ate a good breakfast each morning, skipped lunch, then had a great Savannah dinner. The area seemed safe to walk during the day and night but there was an area just to the west of apartments with boarded up windows and doors. Having said that we never felt unsafe walking in the area. This hotel is a great place to say while visiting the historic areas of Savannah.

Girls getaway to Savannah. Rooms were large to accommodate 3 of us. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. We had planned to do a lot of walking and was ideally located. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great coffee.

Breakfast was terrible. Was very disappointed. Eggs were powered and sausage and potatoes was cold. Juices were watered down. Bananas were not ripe. You would think that for the price it would include a decent breakfast. I have been to other Hampton Inn and always enjoyed their breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah Historic District! When we arrived on 22 August 2013 prior to check in time we were welcomed by "Ross" who assigned us to Room 121, 1st floor near to the breakfast area as requested. "Ross" took me TO the luggage carts when I asked where they were rather than just pointing, was very helpful answereing questions about Savannah, and was just the epitome of the best representative of Hampton Inn that you could hope to have! The hotel doors open to the Savannah Historic District, and you walk into history. There were cookies in the late afternoon, and the breakfast was excellent. "Lauren" of the hotel staff touched base with us during breakfast to make sure everything was good, and it was. We liked the room, and the bathroom was outstanding, as it was large with a high toilet facing the shower. We very much look forward to staying here again and highly recommend it to others! Total for stay: $133.74 (including $5 guest parking).

Everything about this hotel was Fabulous.......staff couldn't have been any better! BUT..........the beds were HORRIBLE! As previously stated in other reviews........up 3-4 times trying to pull the sheet back onto the mattress. We switched rooms 3 times..........stayed 3 nights, didn't get one night of good sleep. My back was sore the whole vacation, pillows were bad too.........one of the reasons I stay at the Hampton Inns are because of their beds and pillows.
