“Great location!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2013

This hotel is not the Hampton Inn on the river, but its not as much money either! It was in a great location downtown if you are planning to walk around at night and get something to eat. The breakfast was awesome, as was the staff. The only thing about the hotel that was annoying was the parking situation. Theres not enough spots in the hotel parking lot, so you have to park in an unlit overflow lot across the street. No big deal though, everything was still there in the morning! We will definately be back!

I booked this hotel on expedia , and to be honest, I wasnt expecting a lot because of the price. I paid a little extra and upgraded to a bigger room. The check in experience was very easy, the staff were lovley, lots of that famous southern charm, My room was on the 3rd floor, and I was more than pleasantly surprised when I opend the door and saw the size of the room. I have stayed in bigger, but not for that sort of price. Everything worked, it was beautifully clean and the beds were very comfortable, Theere was no view which was a little dissapointing and its not the closest place to the historic district, However, Savannah is an easy place to drive and park, or at least it is in FebruaryThere is coffee for guests all day and fresh baked cookies twice a day which was a lovley touch, I would definitley recomend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: upgrade to the larger room for a little extra

Pros: Location is okay, on the edge of historic Savannah but definitely walkable with comfortable shoes. Typical Hampton Inn amenities. The building is newer and the rooms are clean. Rates come in a little lower than hotels , but I suspect that it's due to it's less desirable location.

Cons: This place seems pretty busy, and there's not enough parking for all of the guests at the hotel. So plan to stalk others leaving the hotel in hopes that a space will open up. Despite the lack of parking, the hotel still charges a fee to park!

Verdict: I would stay here again, but only if my first, second, or third choices are not available.

This is our third time staying at this hotel. The rooms are large and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All of the house keeping staff were especially service oriented. Even though we didn't need room service, our house keeper left us a small bag of fresh towels. The breakfast is good and a nice way to start the day. Although you have to park across the street it is still very convenient and free. The nice thing is the location. Savannah is an easy town to get around either by walking or taking a tour. The hotel is in walking distance to everything downtown. We were here for All State Band program. The location was very close to the convention center and other practice venues such as the Georgia Coastal Center.

Took a group for a one night stay. Hotel staff was super helpful and friendly. We were really happy even though it was pouring rain and a tornado watch. Every single employee made us feel welcome and special. Will go back. Stayed at the Staybridge Suites on our last couple of stays in Savannah, but I had a question about the bill and no one would email me back with an answer. Decided to try out this Hampton Inn and it was fantastic. I guess Staybridge lost my business.

I spent the weekend here for a bachelorette party and I was truly impressed. The staff was amazing (especially Jim and Juliet! The Hamptons are lucky to have them). Friendly and hospitable are the perfect words to describe Jim and Juliet. The hotel is not in the heart of the historic district, but it is a short walk from the City District / River District or an even shorter drive. The rooms were clean and well stocked with toiletries and towels. Our room had two queen size beds and plenty of space to move around. Also, even though there was a choir convention in town and the hotel was overrun with high schoolers and middlers, you could not hear anything through the walls or in the hallway.

Also, the hotel breakfast was fantastic. For the most part, complimentary breakfasts at hotels tend to be bland. The breakfast here was great! I especially recommend the biscuits and gravy. They had a wide variety of food to choose from though (hard boiled eggs, make your own waffles, yogurt, fruit, rice with ham, danishes, etc).

I know where I'll be staying for next trip to Savannah.

My hotel stay was great. Hotel has friendly staff, has great breakfast, rooms are nice and clean, great location, definitely will stay there again. We were satisfied with our stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The only thing is that they charge for parking but is not a big deal.
