My husband and I arrived a day early for our month at the beach trip in Sea Island. We chose this B&B because of the number of 100% excellent reviews. Were not disappointed! We were greeted warmly, and followed the hostess to our little house. It was adorable, outfitted with antiques and beautiful art work, comfy beds, gorgeous bath and kitchen. The shower was so modern it was difficult to choose options! The breakfast supplied was excellent and just right. The little kitchen was perfect. They supplied wine and little nibbles for pre-dinner reservations (which they made for us). Such a sweet, but opulent evening! Please read all the reviews and believe what they say! Enjoy!!

Dear Sea Island Birds, What a treat indeed! at the end of a day on the road, to come to a private inn where a bottle of wine and refreshments, a fire and a friendly host await you. Yes, life is good! You deserve it! It was my pleasure to serve you. Monique

We could not have been treated better. Even before we arrived at the Inn the owners reached out to us to ensure that we knew where we were going.
We had the pleasure of staying at the Tatnal House, a charming 2 bedroom house with a beautful outside sitting area. We were able to park the car and walk everywhere we needed to go.
We were impressed with the little extra's including the Inn's own blend of coffee. We had a very relaxing morning enjoying our breakfast.
The olny regret is that we did not have more time to enjoy ourselves.

Room Tip: Can't go wrong with either bedroom

Trip Advisor is like a good match maker for vacationers and innkeepers. There is a B&B for everyone’s desires. Not long ago, one guest shared with me that it felt like she was staying at the place of a good friend of a friend. That is right, I said, It feels like that to me too. Thanks to Trip Advisor for being our friend.

Au plaisir! Monique

We spent 3 lovely nights in the Garden suite at Chatham Square and were very impressed! Everything about the experience exceeded expectations...Monique and her team provided the utmost in caring, responsive attention from great suggestions ( every recommendation they made was outstanding from taxi service to restaurants to carriage tour) to problem solving ( we were allergic to the feather beds so they conveniently disappeared!). The amenities were top of the line...best bathrobe ever! The location of this suite was perfect...we felt like we actually lived in the Historic district, visiting the nearby Crystal Beer Parlor for lunch and sitting in the square in the afternoon. The suite was fully stocked with scrumptious breakfast, snacks, wine, juice....amazing! And we thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace on one rainy day and the garden on the sunny day.

A few comments need to be made just FYI. Parking is on the street at meters and although Monique provides a pass, it still is something to be aware of. Also...the garden suite is on the ground floor of an end unit townhouse. We personally didn't care for being in a street level suite...there were only two small windows which needed to be shuttered but natural light did come in from the garden. We also could hear the neighbors dog muffled barking and the overhead guests walking around which for us made it feel like actually living there but could bother someone. Finally, it is beautifully decorated but the furniture is antique and the space is small so this suite could feel either charmingly cozy or a bit cramped depending on the person's preference.

We would absolutely stay with Armstrong Inns again though and would highly recommend it. The value for the price combined with the wonderful experience of having every need anticipated and met made this one of the best B & Bs we have ever stayed at leaving us with feeling we really experienced historic Savannah.

Dear guests of the Garden Suite: I will be delighted likewise to have you again with us. For your next visit, I suggest you to experience Chatham Suite, above the Garden Suite. Chatham Suite extends from the parlor floor to the 3rd floor of our 1854 Historic Row House on Chatham Square. Its windows and 3 balconies offer great exposures of the square and of its surrounding historic neighborhood. You will love it. Au plaisir! Monique

From the moment we stepped into the "carriage house" we felt the stress melt away! If you don't immediately encounter Monique - you will soon; and her staff will do everything to make you feel welcome and know the community well. From a welcoming decanter of sherry and nuts and pastries to the scrumptious breakfasts and cakes to the afternoon wine and cheese selection - it felt like we were in our own getaway rather than a "room" in somebody's home. We will certainly return!

Oh, and while my wife was dressing for dinner one night she dropped a pearl earring down the sink. Although we told the staff we thought it was lost for good. Within a week of our return we received the earring in the mail.

Our stay in the Garden Suite at Armstrong Inns was very unique, comfortable, and very accommodating. We especially desire to give our kudos to the chef- the quiche was fantastic! Monique and the Inn staff made us feel welcome and were extremely helpful and gave us wonderful dining and attraction recommendations. Until we return, I will definitely miss waking up to the cozy fireplace, suite full of antiques, and the convenience to the beautiful surrounding squares near Forsyth Park.

Room Tip: We absolutely loved the Garden Suite and hope to return back in a few months. The private garden, decor, and the unique special touches by Monique create an environment you will not want to leave.

Dear Kevin,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us and with Trip Advisor members. Your appreciation makes a difference to all of us at the inns. I will share your comments with the Chef and the Staff. Kudos go a long way in our small B&B. Savannah is a great weekend destination with a full agenda for one time visitors and also for repeat visitors, Guests realize very soon that Savannah is not only rich in art, history and architecture; it offers this uniquely rich quality of living that our guests keep coming back to. Like so many guests, I do not want to leave. Likewise, it will be our pleasure to serve you when you return. Monique
