I loved the 700 Kitchen Cooking School with Chef Darin! We went to Savannah on a Road Scholar tour. The Cooking School was the highlight of all of the activities which were scheduled for us. We assisted in preparing six recipes then enjoyed eating them for lunch. Yummy! Not only did he provide us with the recipes but also sharing many tips on how to prepare the recipes. I've been cooking all my life (now 75) and learned a few new tricks. My very very favorite was his Pecan Praline Angel Food Cake - to die for!

“Don't miss this adventure in cooking!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

There are so many things to do and see in Savannah, but this is a "must do". We were so pleased with the teaching style of Chef Darin...comfortable and very informative. Learning new techniques and preparing a "low country" meal were so enjoyable -- as was eating what we had prepared with our newly made cooking friends. When we visit Savannah again participating in another class will be definitely on our itinerary!

“Chocolate Never Tasted So Good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

I've been a caterer for many years and had never really taken a cooking class, but a Chocolate Cooking Class at our "Mansion" hotel sounded like a fun way to spend part of our honeymoon in Savannah. Chef Darin was very knowledgeable about chocolate and also made the class fun to take. Of course the four chocolate desserts we made were also fantastic! We ate our goodies for the next three days. Met some other nice travelers to this lovely city in our class. Highly recommend spending time and learning with Chef Darin. Janis and John

“Fab cooking experience! Highly recommended!”

I'm no cook by any means, so walking into a professional kitchen with 12yr old daughter (want-to-be-chef) was quite the experience. Heartily agree with other reviewers - WOW! Cant rave enough about Chef Darin's relaxed teaching style, yet attention to detail, education tidbits and wealth of knowledge from knife skills to balsamic vinegar to foods of Italy. The personal attention was greatly appreciated and definitely an outstanding experience my daughter will always remember. We will be signing up for another class next time we are in town.

“Soup and Dessert”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2013

One of the first questions my friend and I had when we arrived in Savannal was "are there any culinary classes we can attend?" We were immediately put in touch with Chef Darin. Wow, what an experience! The class was informative, educational, very hands-on, learning knife skills, whisking skills, etc. Darin is relaxed, funny, extremely knowledgable, and practical. Our first class was the chocolate class where we made four different chocolate desserts. We had so much fun that we signed up for the soup class the next day where we made four soups and two breads. His recipes are tasty but not so complicated that you can't replicate them at home. It was a real treat.
