“A hidden gem!”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

This is a very small restaurant a bit off the beaten path. Their bbq was awesome -- they make a number of sauces so there are lots of choices from basic to spicy. They serve until they run out, so plan your visit there accordingly!

“Delicious”
Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

All natural bbq. Hidden away in a alley but worth finding! The chef studied fine dining all over, his dishes are simple but really good and filling! If you want southern lunch or dinner stop by there, limited tables and chairs so take out for picnic!

“Good BBQ”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

I liked the brisket here--well smoked, and they had a variety of sauces to go with it. The chicken is OK, and the pork isn't too bad either--I had the sampler, and it is a bit expensive, although it does come with 2 sides I believe. I had the potato salad--it was good, and the Mac N Cheese--my tip....put hot sauce in it. Makes everything better. Overall a good experience. They also do catering for events if you are interested.

“The most amazing pulled pork this Canadian girl has ever tasted!”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

I was only in Savannah 2.5 days, so the number of meals we had to eat was minimal. I knew I wanted authentic Southern BBQ, and this place did not disappoint! Staff are friendly and efficient, and were able to rustle us up a table no problem (not that we wouldn't have been happy to eat on the curb outside). You can tell this place was popular, as after only being open 2 hours they had already run out of brisket. I tried the pulled pork platter, with baked beans and mac and cheese. The meat was tender and juicy, but not so overcooked that it turned to mush. Their choice of house-made bbq sauces was to die for, though I opted for the Memphis Sweet over the House BBQ, or Angel drops. The baked beans were truly flavourful, and not at all to the traditional Quebec style I'm used to at home- think more BBQ/ vinegar, less sugar. My friend tried the smoked chicken, which was also declared delicious, and another tried the Fried Balogna, which unfortunately too salty, and the only miss of the meal. The mac and cheese was smooth, cheesy, and amazing. No more KD for me! Overall we had a great meal, at a reasonable price, in a tiny little hideaway that was never empty. Highly recommend it!

“It's a Savannah secret”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

BBQ that's very good, simple, and fast. The place to go for lunch and get away from the tourist crowd. Their sauces are the best, and all the sides are excellent. You will have to walk to get to it as the parking in Savannah is getting tougher every day. Go their you won't be disappointed.
