“Very Cosy and Romantic”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

My husband and I spent our 19th Anniversary here. It was very quiet, cosy and Romantic. I loved the beautiful courtyards and enjoyed having breakfast there. It was a beautiful, clean, comfortable place to spend the night. I would reccomend staying at least 2 nights. It was a nice location to see all the local historic sites and lots of nice restaurants to choose from. Loved the cats in the courtyard too! made it feel like "home"

Room Tip: Loved the Ivy Cottage it was perfect for a Romantic Weekend. Quiet, secluded in the back of the Inn...

We decided to vacation in Savannah just a few days before booking with Savannah Bed and Breakfast. Having never visited Savannah before, we really were not sure where we would want to stay. We decided on the Historic District. My husband is a very thrifty man so when he found the Manager's Special pricing at this B&B he jumped on the opportunity. We were pleased upon arriving. We had been given the Tree Top room. It was beautiful and had an amazing view of Chatham Square from the bedroom windows. The only frustrating thing about our room was the two flights of stairs we had to take to get there. Again, we chose the Manager's Special so we weren't too picky.

Breakfast: (always included fruit, a selection of yogurt, and cereal)
Monday- Blueberry Pancakes
Tuesday- Eggs Benedict
Wednesday- Egg, Biscuit, and Sausage Links

We found the afternoon tea and bedtime milk and cookies were a nice touch. All members of staff we came in contact with were always helpful.

The location of this inn could not have been better. We read "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" while staying. Most of the events from the novel took place just at the end of the block! We thought that was really neat.

We will choose this B&B for our next trip to Savannah!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on 3rd floor unless you are willing to climb every time you leave the room!

Stayed here for the second time this year. Our suite was across the square from the main house, very big, private patio, great location with parking not on the street . Good breakfast and Afternoon Tea. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Love this B&B for quiet location and within walking distance if so many great sites.

We got a Yellow room in the main building, top floor. Steep staircase, not for frail, but it was not a problem for us. Excellent location in the middle of the historic district, close to Forsyth Park. Everything within walking distance. Room was small but clean and nicely decorated. There was some AC noise, but we slept well regardless :-)
There were good baked goods: cookies in the evening, cake in the afternoon and sweet bread in the morning. Breakfasts were disappointing: more like in a chain motel: on Sunday chef's special was scrambled eggs (not made to order, just like a buffet - tasteless blob) with standard sausage links. Next day blueberry pancakes, OK, not great. Among bed and breakfasts we stayed in, here the breakfast was worst, lacking any personal touch.

Room Tip: Manager's special will save a few bucks.

My wife and I stayed here for a few days in September 2012, having found the hotel on the internet. All the rooms appeared to be of a high standard. We booked the $99 managers special where you are allocated any room that is free at the time, but may be subject to 1 move during your stay. We were not disappointed when we found ourselves in Ivy Cottage, one of the premium rooms. We had a delightful bedroom, shower room and, up the spiral staircase, a large comfortable lounge and balcony overlooking the courtyard. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is on street at parking meters but a pass supplied by the Hotel allows for all day parking there and also some other parking within the city. Savannah itself is beautiful with many atmospheric squares set about the city. There is plenty to do and see in the city and I just wish we had had more time there. We would definately go back to Savannah and also to this Hotel.

Room Tip: We took a gamble with the managers special, but it certainly paid off! All the rooms appear to be hi...

We stayed at this B&B from 10 - 13th Sept 2012. We booked on line & booked the managers special. You get a special rate but have to take whatever room is offered to you & there's the chance you may have to move rooms. We had looked at the website & liked the look of all the rooms so didn't mind where we ended up. Well, we were thrilled to find that we had been put in Ivy Cottage, a small 2 storey cottage in what was the carriage house of the original terrace. It was perfect. A beautiful bedroom, a neat & tidy bathroom & up a spiral staircase was a comfy lounge & kitchenette with patio doors out on to a balcony overlooking courtyard gardens. There was always a choice at breakfast, milk & homemade cookies at night & a something in the afternoon ( but we were never in for that!). You also get free parking. The staff were always very attentive & so friendly, as is everyone, it seems, in Georgia. The B&B is only a short walk from everything & there is a free bus you can hop on & off called DOT.
It was not only our first trip to Savannah but our first trip to the states. Savannah is beautiful, very quaint. There's plenty to do & see, loads of fab places to eat & lovely shops, museums etc. We would definitely stay at this B&B again, without hesitation.

This was our first trip to Savannah and we LOVED it! It was a nice, clean B&B. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a very nicely decorated room with a private balcony overlooking the courtyard. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful and freshly baked cookies every evening were just icing on the cake. It is conveniently located in the historic district within walking distance of everything (squares, shops, restaurants and museums). There are so many things to do in Savannah and we will definitely stay here when we come back.
