We love going to the Moon River for appetizers and drinks. The Moon River-Style wings are a good choice as are the fried green tomatoes. Oh and lets not forget the Bloody Mary ~ their own concoction!!!! VERY GOOD!

brews were good. hot wings were mild at best. garlic fries were a dish of french fries with a pile of parm, garlic, and rosemary at the bottom. sauteing the mixture, cooking the fries for 5 more minutes, and THEN tossing them together might have worked. waiter forgot to give us silverware and service was slow.

Stopped in to sample brews and was pleasantly surprised. Brought family back later, took ten minutes to get seated in half empty place. Food was pricey and not very appetizing, service was painfully slow and a guest beer from Belgium was ten bucks for a single pint.
stop in for the house beers, avoid the restaurant.

As a big fan of craft brewed beer I looked forward to a return visit to Moon River over the new years break. My group of 4 were seated in the back after walking past the brew house up the front of the building. I enjoyed the 2 beers ordered, an american interpretation of a fest bier, and an assertively hopped IPA. We ordered an appetizer to share and 4 entrees, all of which were pretty ordinary. All the fried food was oily and unappetizing and the entrees were pretty bland. Also, a lot of selections from the menu were not available, given that it was new years day I guess that isn't totally unexpected. Don't know if it was because it was an 'off' day', or that the new year hangover was too much, but the overall experience was pretty disappointing. The biggest complaint was the price of the beers. At $5.50 a pint I though that was pretty steep. At another local bar, the same moon river beers were $4!
Until their restaurant improves I'd only go back for a couple of beers.
