We had a good meal, but probably paid for the location, right on the river. Parking is at a premium. We ate with a very large group from our RV club, and the service was very good. We all enjoyed our meals, but they were expensive. I had the pine bark stew, which had almost no seafood, but a delicious "gravy." One oyster, one shrimp and a few scallops. It was almost $30.

This is an excellent place to go have lunch, and a few beers. Bar staff was great, and the food was really good. Had a great time, will definitely go back next time we go to Savannah.

While visiting Savannah I wanted some great shrimp. So on our last night in town we ventured back down to River Street for the fourth time in three days and found the red and white striped canopy on the east end of River Street. The Shrimp Factory!
What a selection of shrimp endless ways!
We chose the Caesar Salad to start ( great, prepared and served at the table). Rather than entrees we decided to try three appetizers-crab cakes, shrimp cocktail, and coconut shrimp! Each was delicious! The shrimp cocktail was generous as was the coconut shrimp!
Chandler was our waiter and did a superb job. The sourdough rolls with butter as well as homemade pimento spread was a nice touch.

at 3:30 in the afternoon, we waited over an hour to receive our food. The grouper sandwich was cold and the bun was soggy. The flounder catch of the day plate was overcooked and tough... not to mention the rice pilaf was just butter and rice. The worst thing about the meal was that the boiled shrimp were so tough that they were almost too hard to eat.

We were so hungry we picked around the food and ate it anyway, but when we mentioned it to the server, she apologized, but didn't really seem to care too much.

There are so many other choices on River Street, so I would recommend DO NOT eat at this restaurant... we took a chance and wish we hadn't.

Wonderfull and warm service from a local girl who knew how to pamper to two northerners who knew NOTHING of the local fairs. We were tired after a full day of air travel and on an afternoon stroll from waiting for our room. We were picky, not wanting a heavy fried meal. We were guided trough the menu, including good local beers. Voilà, our great experience in Savannah had started.
