“A special must-do in Savannah”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2014

Dining at the Olde Pink House is an around special experience. It isn't just the food - though that is excellent - it is the beautiful house, the attentive service, and the overall feeling of having a memorable time. My daughter tried duck for the first time and thought it was the best dinner she had in Savannah (and we ate well in Savannah) While we were eating, another table was serenaded with "Moon River" on what must have a special occasion. And the atmosphere of the restaurant made our evening feel like a special dinner as well.

“Came for the cheese grits, stayed for the ambiance”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2014

Every local we ran into in Savannah was adamant that we go to the Olde Pink House and try the Shrimp & Cheese Grits. We were able to get a late (9pm) reservation, so we showed up a little early to check out the downstairs bar. We loved the dark, candlelit ambiance so much we gave up our dinner reservation and had a couple of small plates at the tavern bar while listening to piano music. The Shrimp & Cheese Grits were divine, but a small plate to share was plenty (delicious, but rich). We also had the Blackened Oysters. Very interesting...and quite good. A bottle of wine and some lovely bartenders made it a great last night in Savannah. Make reservations well in advance if you want to enjoy the restaurant, but the tavern in the basement is definitely a great back up plan!

“Girl trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2014

I visited Savannah earlier this month with a friend who had never been. I had eaten here before with my husband, but having dinner here is a must, especially if you have not been. Be sure to make a reservation. The food is not the best meal I have ever eaten, but should definitely be on your "to do" list for the experience in this historic home. It's worth it just to be able to tour all the rooms and bar after dinner. The waiters and managers were all extremely kind in taking time to answer our questions about the house, and didn't mind stopping what they were doing as we were walking around.

“Historic Charm Good Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2014

This restaurant was highly recommended. The building has quite a bit of history and claims to be haunted. The service was attentive and there was some history and "entertainment" provided by the wait staff. The lighting was too dim for my liking but I managed. Several of the dishes, including specific
beer we ordered were not available as they had run out but we found substitutions. The dishes were interesting but not outstanding. Perhaps our first choices would have been better. A bit disappointing given all the previous stellar reviews.

“OK place”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2014

I called about 3 months ahead of time and made a reservation. I told the lady that we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and wanted a quiet table. We also stopped by the day we went to check on our time and told the lady then the same thing. However when we got there we got anything but quiet. There was a convention in town and of course our table was right next to the room they were in. Really disappointed! The food was OK but I think begin lied to twice ruined the food for me.
