“Great way to get the Savannah experience”

We are in Savannah with a large group and it is our first time. We had a combined city tour and historic homes district . The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining, a fourth generation Savannah native.

“Must do for first time visitor.”
Reviewed May 27, 2013 via mobile

We wanted to get the lay of Savannah and figured the best way was to do the off/on tour. The savannah tour folks welcomed us at the parking lot, told us to move our car out of a paid parking garage to a free lot and gave us AAA discount for starters. Then we were fortunate to get 70 year old Stuart as our driver/guide. It was an educational ride through the streets of Savannah. Absolutely worth it!!! Thanks Stuart for the great details and bringing it all to life.

Karen our tour guide was GREAT!! Every time we got on and off the tour she was the only guide that day, that gave us ideas to enjoy our evening after the tours were over. I only wish the on/off signs were more outstanding from the other tour stops. If you have never been to Savannah this should be your first stop to try. The cost was worth it..

“Wonderful Haunted Trolley Tour!”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

My husband and I had such a great expereince on this Trolley Tour! We went on the Haunted tour at night that included stops at the Pirate House and the Sorrel Weed House. We booked our reservation in advance from their website. Our guide was Karen. She was completely wonderful, exactly what you would think a southern lady would be! She picked us up from our Inn (The Hamilton-Turner Inn). As we drove around to other Inn's and Hotels picking up other guests, she would speak about the History of Savannah and some of the haunted places that were around the areas. She knew a lot about all of the various Squares and buildings there. She had told us that she taught school for 31 years, I bet she had lots of cool stories for her students!
Our first stop was the Rum Cellar of the Pirate House. As we drove by it, she told us stories about the place, she made the trip very entertaining. Once downstairs in the cellar, she told us the history of the building and many stories that had came about from this building. She encouraged people to take multiple pictures. While there, my camera acted funny a couple of times during the shots. I was standing still while taking the pictures but captured mists like things in the pictures.
After leaving the Pirate House, we went to the Sorrel Weed House. Driving there, she drove aroudn various squares and would point out historical qualities, tell haunted stories, and point out some of the many mansions in the Savannah area. Once at the Sorrel Weed House, we were greeted by our "Guide" who took us through the Sorrel Weed House. This tour was wonderful. The Guide went over the different rooms and the history of the people who lived there as well as the investigations that had happened there (Ghost Hunter's Halloween Special was one). Again, we were encouraged to take multiple pictures. My camera battery was almost completely drained after being there a short amount of time. We still got pictures, though.
After the tour, our guide took us back to our Inn. Again, it wasn't a quiet tour. She told plenty of stories about Savannah history. As she neared our Inn, she told a couple of "Haunted" stories about our Inn. When she stopped and we were getting off, I thanked her for scaring me before bed...LOL.
This tour was wonderful. I can't wait to take our 10 year old on these tours in the near future. I was so grateful that they did a pick up and drop off at the Inn. It was great to hear the history of this beautiful city...even if some parts of it may have been embellished a bit. Also, she was such a great driver! There is not way I would have been able to maneuver that big trolley through some of the narrow streets like she did...but she did it! Great tour!
