I usually give this tour a 5 star. We were just in Savannah for Thanksgiving for 4 days. I got the idea to take our 8lb dog thru the Pet Friendly web site. When we got on the trolly and looked at our tickets, the person charging added our dog for a full adult fare. Really Old time tours, there was no sign or brochure stating there would be adult charge for a dog. Last time on this company . mandinaus in fla.

We are a bit taken back by your review and the fact that you said you were charged for your pet. Although we normally have some weigh restrictions it has never been our policy to charge for a pet that accompanys one of our guest. We would be happy to refund your money if you would please get in touch with our office and provide them with the information regarding your tour and charges. Please accepted our apolgizes for this situation.

If you can, take the Old Savannah tour with Stu. We rode the trolley 3 different times, and Stu was the most informative and funniest guide. He engaged the riders, gave good information on the sights and kept us smiling. It was clear to us that Stu loves his job and loves Savannah. Thanks for a great experience!

We were in Savannah over Halloween and wanted to take a trolley tour. We'd been on this trolley before and were looking forward to another interesting and funny tour of Savannah. As some of the other reviewers state, your driver makes all of the difference. This year our first guides were just plain boring. Our first guide, a woman dressed as a witch had her own take on Savannah. For instance, did you know that Eli Whitney did NOT invent the cotton gin? It was (according to our guide) invented by his wife. They wouldn't give her a patent so poor Eli had to do it for her. We decided to try a different guide, this time an older woman that seemed confused. She would start telling something about Savannah and just forget what she was talking about. Whenever she thought she said something she would whoop and holler and ring the trolley's bell. No one else thought she was even remotely funny. We finally got on a different tour manned by a man wearing a pirate's costume. He had lived in Savannah all his life and besides being very knowledgeable about Savannah, he was hilarious! Just like the tour guides last year. He told us about Eli Whitney inventing the cotton gin with no mention of his wife.
We heartily recommend taking this company's tours. If you don't like the guide, get off immediately and wait for the next trolley. You will have a much better chance of enjoying the ride. A plus for this company is that they will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel or B&B. Recommended!

Guide was Mojo. Seemed to be in a rush; talked unceasingly about the movie "midnight in garden of good and evil". Never slowed for pictures...just wasn't as enjoyable as previous experience with Tammi.

We absolutely loved our tour of Savannah with Old Savannah Tours. Coming from a historic city ourselves (Boston) we were interested in what may be unique about Savannah. Our guide knew the answer to every question and really brought the old city to life. Everyone that we dealt with through reserving the tour to the driver himself acted as if we were relatives in from out-of-town that they were delighted to host. I can't recommend this group enough. One thing our family really preferred about this tour was both the characters they offer and the fact that it's not a chain... but a local company to the area. A "must do" while in the area!
