“The Best Stop of the Visit!”
Reviewed August 19, 2011

This place consistently has great service and friendly wait staff. I don't think that is too much to ask especially in a tourist area. Places just don't seem to get it. We live in a tourist area and know how complacent service can be and it seems ridiculous as that's how you make your money!!!

We went in for beers and enjoyed nice cold, perfectly poured guinnesses. We had already eaten but wished we hadn't because the food looked delicious! We are planning this as our first stop to eat our next visit to Savannah.

Thank you Churchill's for making us feel welcome and that you sincerely appreciate our business.

Lived in Savannah and always enjoyed the food and great atmosphere. Awesome bar area too. The whole restaurant was very cozy and unique. Always took friends and family there when they came to town.

“Expensive average food”
Reviewed July 28, 2011

We decided to eat at Chruchill's because of the advertised 'roof top' seating. First off, the rooftop seating is quite nice but does not face Bay Street, it faces an alley. Not a deal breaker but slightly disappointing. The food was quite expensive and the portion sizes were small for the money we paid. We ended up sharing a fish plate, I can't even remember the name of it because it was so boring. I make better food at home for myself. If you are looking for a bar to meet up with some friends but not really looking for food then I would say this is your place. The waiter was very personable and attentive, I just did not enjoy the food at all.

“Great food, atmosphere & service!”
Reviewed July 24, 2011

This restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge at The Mansion when we asked her to tell us about places she goes to. We were there pretty early (before 6pm) so there was no wait. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu, which had a decent variety of entrees. My husband opted for the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding (when in Rome...) and I ordered the vegetarian curry. Both were delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant as a great option over the many high-priced tourist traps in Savannah.
