My husband and I enjoyed our first restaurant experience here. The first experience ;
Food : I ordered the delicious wedge salad and Jerry soup. The lettuce was a bit wilted. Soup loaded with seafood and was lukewarm.
My husband ordered the Reuben sandwich. He enjoyed this.
Service: We were greeted by the owner and she was friendly and accommodating. Our server was attentive and prompt. Overall good experience.
My husband and I decided to return to this restaurant on our second visit;
Food: Wedge salad lettuce still bit wilted. Jerry soup still lukewarm. My husband ordered the jerk shrimp and it was sweet and spicy delicious.
Service: The server was attentive. We met the male manager when we informed him that my husband forgot his wallet. He was given a photocopy of my husband's driver's license and military identication. We told him we were sorry and embaressed and will call him within the hour with credit card information. As promised my husband called and gave the male manager the credit card information within the hour. My husband also asked about a charge on the receipt labeled 'group grat' that charged us $4.77.The male manager said that since we used restaurant. com gift certificate this is a restaurant. com fee that restaurant .com company charged to us. So my husband said okay and hung up.
I looked at the receipt again and then called restaurant. com. Restaurant. com stated they use to charge this fee but effective February 2013 it was stopped and all restaurants were informed. As a courtesy, I called the restaurant and spoke with the male manager. He asked me why am I calling him again and you are people that did not pay your bill. I told him that we paid and I just wanted to talk about the'group grat'. He told me that fee was required by and for restaurant. com. I told him I called restaurant. com and this fee is no longer required. He then said you did not pay your bill and you do not tip and
restaurant. com owes $12,000.00 to his business. Also he banned us from the restaurant.The male manager was very rude and yelling. I hung up. He sent me a text message stating he would call police and he was going to report my husband to the military if I wrote about this.
