We walked up and down River Street before deciding on Dockside. I had the fish & chips, the grouper was delicious and reasonably priced. My husband had a burger with fries. The portions were more than enough. The server was very nice.

This restaurant was the best along the waterfront. It had the best prices and good food. We searched for a bit before deciding where to go and the talk of the crowd was Dockside so we decided to investigate. Glad we did, the food was really good and the service was also great. Definately a place I would go back to.

We chose this restaurant cause the kids were hungry and it was there. We received a very friendly greeting and our service had a great attitude. She was really awesome the whole time. As an appetizer we ordered the spinach dip. Its delicious. It also came with a very small side of salsa that my 3 year old seemed to really enjoy. It was not hot at all which worked perfectly for us. The kids both got mac & cheese plates that looked delicious. Both kids seemed to really enjoy it. The seafood we ordered arrived quickly & presentation wasn't bad. It was a plate for 2 that contained shrimp, crab legs, oysters, mussels, crawfish, potatoes, one large ear of corn, sausage and one side dish of cole slaw. The amount of food was very adaquate. The quality on the other hand was only mediocre. Everything seemed a little over done and tough. There was not much flavor either. I did not find the crawfish to be edible at all. The corn was sweet & delicous. Oysters & mussels very heavily steamed. Crab legs were slightly bland & dry. Shrimp were pretty good. I did not try the sausage or coleslaw. I'm sure better seafood could be found in savannah. Its a great atmosphere though in a nice spot on river street. If you pay it a visit maybe try something other than the seafood plate for 2.

I had the low country boil. It was very good, especially the sausage. The restaurant itself and the atmosphere, though, leave a bit to be desired. It's very dark, cramped, and just seems like it's past it's prime. Food was pretty good and affordable compared to other River St venues, but overall just an average experience.

For seafood at Port Royal near Paris Island USMC you cannot do better. Best view and great food. You will like it if you love sea food.
