We spent New Year's Eve in Savannah as a family and wanted pizza on our early (10:30pm) trek back to our hotel. We wanted a great
place and asked 2different people for a recommendation-both had said Vinnie Van Go Go, so that's where we went. It was crowded and we ordered a large cheese to go. Watching the pizzas come our of the pizza oven, I knew it was going to be amazing pizza-and it was! Crispy bottom, great flavored sauce, and delicious dough. I wish we had one of these in our hometown! Worth it, for sure. I have read that they "run out of dough," and I will say, we were one of the last to get a pie, as they did,"run out of ingredients," -this will definitely be on our must-do list for future trips!

“Ran out of dough?”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

We tried to eat at Vinnie Van Go-Go's on Monday, December 23 at 4:30PM only to be told that slices were available until gone. However pizzas were unavailable as they have run out of dough (??).

The hostess was very matter of fact as if this is not a one time occurrence.

“Worth the visit ”
Reviewed December 31, 2013 via mobile

Having visited savannah, yearly, since 2007, I'd never stopped in but heard the pizza was good. So looking for a meal to go for New Years Eve, this seemed the logical place. Ordered a white pizza to go and it was worth the wait. Great prices. Fresh taste.

“Great pizza and cold beer!”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

While doing the tourist things we realized the restaurants pretty much stay packed, so we lucked into a bar seat and ordered dinner. The special was lg. cheese pizza and pitcher of beer for $12.00. This hit the spot and we had leftovers for breakfast. This is nothing fancy; but it is an eclectic little pizza place and great place to people watch!

“Delivery absolutely terrible!!!!”
Reviewed December 29, 2013 via mobile

We visited savannah in December and stayed at a local hotel. It took over 1.5 hrs to get our pizzas delivered. When we called the restaurant after an hr had went by he had informed us that the driver was coming on a bicycle! In 55 degree weather!! We called again after another half hr and the man told us he didn't want to call the driver because it would only make him stop and slow him down and that the driver had to drive slow because he had to drive carefully in the rain. When our pizza arrived it was so cold already that the cheese had even started to harden! Absolutely disgusting and Completely Unacceptable! I don't know how the owner would ever allow such terrible service! Aside from that having grown up in NY this pizza was definitely NOT NY pizza.
