Description: One of the city's most consistently stylish restaurants evokes a low-key, counterculture bistro, but its cuisine is grander and more cutting-edge than its industrial-looking decor and its level of hipness would imply. Wrapped in warm brick and cool steel, the Sapphire Grill has steeped itself in a history of fine culinary tradition. Christopher Nason is the owner and the most talked about chef of the moment in Savannah, preparing what he defines as a "coastal cuisine" based on seafood hauled in on the day of its preparation from nearby waters. From seasonal chanterelles and oregon black truffles, to the most tender cuts of meat and delicate seafood, Chef Nason and his team work feverishly to keep Sapphire at the mark expected of her.

“Fantastic Dining Experience”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

We defintely splurged with this meal! The average price of a meal is about $40-$50, but totally worth it. We were greated by a friendly hostest and seated on the top floor. We had somewhat early reservations, so it was quite to start, but picked up as the evening went on. We stareted with Braised Littleneck Clams. I had the Seared Duck Breast and my husband had the special Surf and Turf (scallops and beef tenderloin). The food was absolutely delicious. We opted for after dinner drinks, my husband getting a 12 year scotch and I getting chocolate martinis :-) Our waitress was very attentive. It was a great dining experience and we would love to eat here again!

“Delicious”
Reviewed October 26, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

My wife and I had a delicious meal here last week. Ingredients were fresh and the meal was on the lighter side, a nice change from the comfort food we'd been eating the last few days. The restaurant is also conveniently located, we finished the evening with a couple cocktails at the famed city market area, which was only a couple short blocks away.

“Good food, uneven service”

Food is quite decent. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable, but seemed to lose interest in us halfway through the meal.

“Wow, Are You In For A Treat”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

This was a recommendation from Host at the Andaz Hotel. First of all, it is not mobbed, you feel special, when you walk through the front door. The decor is wonderful, tables for two are perfect in size, not small like some places. Good drink selection, waitress we had was terrific. Food was excellent, my wife had Grouper, which she said was great, I had Veal, even though, the on line menu I saw said there was Veal Schnitzel, this was also great. The presentation of both dishes was really amazing. They make their own bread which was very very good, The food quality, staff, location, presentation, and David, who took our reservation are top notch. This place is a true Gem.

“GREAT service, food and atmosphere!”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

Our server was attentive, prompt and knowledgable of the menu and specials. The food was absolutely incredible! I ordered lamb and my husband ordered the filet and honestly- worth every penny! We loved the environment with the turned down lights and cozy vibe. Definitely, will be back!
