“Overpriced and so-so service”
Reviewed February 19, 2007

A relatively small slice of Spanakopita on the appetizer list is 8 bucks. They just add another slice to it, include it in the main entree and now its 16 bucks. Go figure. The food was'nt bad but the portions were'nt big enough for that kind of price. Plus the waitress who served us didnt even smile once . She didnt seem to appreciate much when we had questions about certain entrees. Go there if you are a big fan of fusion cuisine.

“Delicious!”
Reviewed April 29, 2006

We had one of our best meals in Savannah at the Toucan Cafe. It's tucked away in the Midtown area, but you should search it out.
They had several specials, of which we had the Black & Bleu steak and the Lump Crab, Prosciutto & Goat Cheese-Stuffed Chicken. Both were incredible. The house salad dressing is great as well.
The vibe there is eclectic, casual, and fun. We found everyone there very friendly and great at their jobs.

“Not Very Good.”
Reviewed April 19, 2006

The food just wasn’t very good. It’s not that it was bad, it just had kind of an Appleby’s quality to it and it was way overpriced. Additionally, the staff, while friendly, just seemed to have this halfway house vibe.

“Great Restaurant”
Reviewed November 4, 2005

We visited Savannah and dined at the Toucan Cafe in 2001. Our meal was unforgettable then. Naturally, upon returning to Savannah, we headed for the Toucan Cafe straight away. Amazing - again. The Veal w/gorgonzola sauce, fingerling potatoes and asparagus, accompanied by a bottle of Zinfandel, made for an outstanding dinner. The wait staff was attentive and professional. When we were departing the manager invited us to taste a special Zinfandel which he had added to the wine list. After sipping and chatting about some of the Cafe's other interesting wines, we departed, even more impressed with the Toucan Cafe than we had been 4 years earlier.
