Saw City Hotel Band at summer cabaret series. What a great night! Very intimate theater experience. Loved the band and the chance to sit onstage and come in through the stage door. Look forward to attending another cabaret soon. Great idea Lucas Theater; keep up the good work!!

This is a beautifully restored theater! Small enough for a good live show! Paula Deen was sweet and funny! Her boys are endearing and lovingly enduring of their mother's jokes! The show is a taste of Paula Deen, the family dynamics, and a bit of her past and how it got her where she is today. Don't expect to learn any cooking skills or tricks at her show. (Southern Living has a great cooking show for that!) Her love for Savannah is evident.

This is the perfect size theater .. Easy to navigate, lots of history and great location. Absolutely beautiful inside. It's small enough that all seats are good

The Lucas Theatre really is stunning. My son and I went last night for a summer screening of Back to the Future. The staff is very professional and friendly, the tickets were less expensive than any other movie theater I have been to lately, and the experience of watching a movie in a beautiful well-maintained historic theater is priceless. We had a great time!

The beautiful Lucas Theater flips its paradigm and presents a cabaret series during the summer (until Sept. 4), where patrons enter the stage door, sit at comfy tables and chairs on the stage, and the musical and other themed cabarets perform with their back to the seats of the theater. We have seen "Velvet Caravan," a melange of Gypsy Jazz and a special treat of bluegrass singers joining for the performance, which was fabulous. Snacks are offered free, and drinks can be purchased. Dancing and participation by the audience is encouraged. For $25 a head, a very enjoyable few hours clapping, singing, and dancing (if you wish). This music series also includes an Edith Piaf review, a Johnny Mercer, Gershwin, and other review, and a comedian for the last performance. Cool, comfortable, informal summer entertainment. We need more of this in this very busy little city with many happy tourists.
