“Absolutely the most beautiful and romantic B&B you could imagine.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2006

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Zeigler House this past May and we cannot recommend this B&B highly enough. We travel a lot and have stayed in B&B's from the US to Europe and we have never had a better experience than the one we had there. Kim and Jackie are the most gracious and caring inn keepers we have ever met. On top of all of the wonderful things they provided for our stay in their gorgeous home, we were there during the Kentucky Derby and they had a Derby party for all of the guests including divine mint juleps. You simply cannot find a more romantic and inviting B&B anywhere else. Add to that the fact that it is in the historic district of one of the most beautiful southern towns you have ever been to and the experience is unforgettable and outstanding. Take it from us, if you ever have reason to visit Savannah, you must, must, must stay at the Zeigler House. Kim and Jackie....Bruce and "Jackie" thank you and your parents for one of the best trips we have had. We have recommended your B&B to all of our friends and we sincerely look forward to a return visit. You are the best.

My husband and I stayed at the Zeigler house for our first anniversary! We stayed in the Province room which has a private outside entrance. It reminds me of an old historic carriage house that is very tastfully decorated. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The bathroom has a jacuzzi bath tub and an old antique gorgeous sink. A fire place in the room with candles to lite around the room add to the romantic feeling. Terry cloth bath robes to use. We had our own little court yard/garden to sit outside but Savannah is VERY HOT in July. Our fridges were stocked with juices, water, milk and continental breakfast items. Jackie bakes daily and brings abundant pastries. The scones are to die for, I've been craving them ever since I got home. The continental "en suite" breakfast worked well for us, as we were always on the go site seeing gorgeous Savannah, and then could come back to enjoy water, juice and snacks at our leizure. Great B&B, highly recommended!
p.s. Paula Dean's is not worth a 2 hour wait in the hot sun. Grandma's cookin is just as good! Ask Jackie for her recommendations: her choices were excellent!

On this romantic getaway was just one way to explain the weekend I spent there. This will always be the greatest memory ever. What I thought was just a romanitic getaway was turned into th most romantic proposal ever (like something on t.v.). KIm and Jackie were there for my fiance to make every detail the greatest. The room first of all was so beautiful!!! You walk into the room and you see a beautiful antique bed decorated beautifully. Then the next thing to catch you eye was the romantic table with fresh fruit and fresh flowers just for your stay. They also put your favorite fruit drinks in your refrigator along with other favorites of yours. The patio outside was just as beautiful as inside the quietness. We will definiately be back and would recommend the Zeigler House Inn to any couple or single person. This is everything you could imagine and more. This is a dream house and the owners so caring and there for your every need no matter how big or small. They also leave homemade pastries in your room and after cleaning Jackie leaves you pastries surprises for when you come back. This was the BEST weekend that I could ever imagine or wanted.

The Zeigler house is right in the middle of the Historic District and is the perfect place for those who want some style, but don't care to eat breakfast with strangers as in most Bed and Breakfasts.
We had the largest room --Lafayette, and it was decorated beautifully on provencial style. Many snacks were left and lots of information. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom lovely and we did have a semi private patio.
The owners were charming and great to help. They let us know that a taste of Savannah was taking place that evening and gave us easy directions. They are a great combination of helpful and not intrusive. They provided more fresh baked goods for breakfast than we could eat and I saw that another couple was having an anniversary carriage ride for which the owner had packed a picnic basket.
When we go back, we will absolutely stay here again.

Our B&B was Zeigler House where we had a ground floor room with a private entrance. For seniors (like us), it was wonderful not to have to think about climbing steps to get to our room after a long day exploring the historic district of Savannah. Our bathroom window looked out on a lovely fountain that appeared from the outside like just a decorative fountain under the front steps. It was a surprise to find that it was hiding the bathroom window. We had a beautiful rear bricked courtyard where we enjoyed our breakfast in private. Zeigler House provided excellent home baked goods of whatever kind we requested in advance (blueberry muffins and cranberry scones in our case), together with yoghurts, juices, fruit, cereal, English muffins, all available in our little kitchen area for us to eat at our leisure. Microwave popcorn, sodas, snack foods were also provided. This was an unusual approach to a B&B, but one that worked exceptionally well. There was plenty of wonderful food, outstanding fresh baked goods, and we weren’t tied to anyone else’s breakfast schedule. Our hostess, Jackie, gave us excellent suggestions for places to eat. We were only sad we couldn't stay longer.

Stayed five nights at the Zeigler House in Dec. It was great! We stayed in the Lafayette room. Very romantic B&B. It's a little different in the fact that a stocked small kitchenette is your breakfast instead of a meal in the dining room. This allows for more freedom of schedule and convenience. Located in the beautiful historic downtown area. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Service was great! Hosts provided us with extremely useful information about Savannah. The room was stocked with several brochures of local attractions. Parking is limited, but off the street. Very safe neighborhood. Three of the rooms are on the street level, which adds a little to the noise, but not enough to discourage staying there. Was a little pricy, but well worth the money. Found on B&B website. Took a chance after visiting Zeigler House website and was not disappointed.

My wife and I just got back from a week at the Zeigler House. The inn is on one of the prettiest streets in America and is within 10 minutes' walk of all of Savannah's many attractions. If you are flying to Savannah and stay at Zeigler House, don't rent a car; you won't need it.

We stayed in the French Country room, which is more like a studio apartment than a hotel room and is very well furnished. And it has a private patio, which is a real plus. When we got there, there were bowls of chocolates, fresh fruit, nuts, pretzels, and more awaiting us, as well as a refrigerator stocked with food and drink. The innkeeper, Jackie, is from Kentucky and truly understands Southern hospitality. She did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. For example, one day we wrote her a note saying:

"Could we please have some orange juice, chocolate, milk, and bottled water."

Our writing wasn't so clear, but a few hours later a large bottle of chocolate milk appeared in the refrigerator, along with the orange juice and bottled water. Even though chocolate milk wasn't a standard item, she went out to the supermarket and got us a bottle, thinking that we wanted some. When we next saw her, we all had a good laugh about the presence or absence of that comma. This was just one example of her attentiveness and desire to please her guests. If you are going to Savannah, this is the place to stay.
